. Directed all financial and information technology functions for $200
million cosmetics packaging manufacturer with a blue chip world-wide
customer base. Product lines include closures, jar covers, and jars
for the cosmetic, fragrance, and toiletries industries, including
several unique value added decorative competencies.
. The company is currently undergoing a major transformation relocating
major segments of manufacturing capacity and expertise to China and
the Czech Republic:
o Leveraging low cost country manufacturing through development
of operations outside the US
o Reinvestment in targeted facilities to strengthen

o Assembled and disseminated detailed product engineering and

character based Windows ERP system to a fully integrated Oracle

Plant Controller - KENNEY MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Warwick, RI, 1993-1997
. Responsible for manufacturing and distribution budgets for a $65
million manufacturer of window fashion products servicing retail mass
merchant, home center, and interior design specialty chains primarily
throughout the United States.
. Additional responsibilities included management of LIFO inventory,
standard cost development and variance analysis, excess and obsolete
inventory management.
. Led an interdisciplinary team establishing new third party logistics
partner in Reno, Nevada enabling the company to better serve Western
US customers - saving several hundred thousand dollars per year in
freight expense.
. Direct responsibility for $12.5 million in inventory located in one
manufacturing site and two distribution facilities in Arkansas and
Nevada.
. Reinstituted product and customer profitability analysis using
activity based allocation logic.
. Created and led a payroll automation team. Leveraged state-of-the-art
systems to replace a legacy time card system serving over 500 full
time employees and over 100 temporary workers.
. Participated in two US business acquisitions. Responsible for due
diligence and asset valuation aspects of these purchases.
. Authored several programs to mine large amounts of data housed in an

. Directed all financial activities for $18 million manufacturer of
commodity and specialty cutting and threading tools.
. Responsibilities included general accounting, cost accounting and
analysis, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting, internal
audit, payroll, accounts payable, and MIS functions for manufacturing
plants located in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
. Directed Purchasing and Materials Management functions.
. Served as Materials Manager for one year in a temporary capacity.
. Prepared a consolidation plan to merge two manufacturing facilities.
