Asset Servicing Supervisor/Team Leader - Pershing Limited, London/Liverpool
I started at Pershing as a Corporate actions clerk and was subsequently promoted to senior clerk and now I am the supervisor/team leader
on UK & Intl Mandatory & Voluntary corporate actions. I have been partly responsible for managing the migration of the corporate actions
department from London to Liverpool, and the subsequent continued success of the teams once live in Liverpool. My duties and
achievements include:
• Manage a team processing Mandatory & voluntary corporate events across global markets
• Implemented a new proxy service for clients, allowing them direct input to vote for EGM's/AGM's/GM's etc
• Agree and settle International & UK market claims
• Chair daily morning video calls with London counterparts to discuss issues of the day ahead
• Authorise corporate action Foreign exchange trades
• Led a successful project to streamline the research products and data resources used by our event set up team to obtain corporate
actions notifications
• Manage the department’s daily submission of client short positions/client free money segregation
• Oversee corporate action tax processing and reporting
• Represent asset servicing in client meetings for our current northern client base, as well as new clients on boarding
• Authorise/release outgoing Swift/Euroclear messages for the department.
• Initiate and oversee quarterly projects to trade out all split holdings on non-client Pershing accounts.
• Monitor department cash and stock breaks
• Conduct goal setting, mid and end of year reviews and appraisals with staff
• Manage the corporate action relationship with one of our global agents (RBC) on a rotational basis
• Extensive working experience of corporate events processing via CREST, DTCC, Creation online and more.

Corporate Actions Clerk – WH Ireland Stockbrokers, Manchester
In my role I researched and processed both mandatory and voluntary UK and International Corporate Actions, ensuring controls were
observed and queries turned around efficiently. In a small team I was responsible for all aspects of Corporate Events, including:
• Research, analysis and notification of all applicable corporate actions to our private clients and relationship managers
• Creating tailored notifications for our private clients for each call based event, advising how much extra a full take up on an optional event
would cost taking into account current cash balance and ISA allowance where applicable
• Tracked and chased responses from private clients and Relationship Managers alike
• Reconciliation and processing of income payments, including Unit Trust dividends
• Electing on global corporate events and liaising closely with registrars and international agents
• Management and Processing of all loan stock reconciliations, circulation and redemptions.

In my time at Zephus I was able to build my knowledge base on stock market trends and activities. With clients who relied on having clear,
