Responsibilities include assisting the Senior Project Engineer with drafting of roadway design plans

control plans, and utility plans. Plans were analyzed at locations of existing and proposed utility

lines utilizing cross sections to determine any drainage structure conflicts. Other duties include

determining final cost estimates and production of computation book of overall project pay items.

Project Engineer

Responsibilities included project management; overseeing the design and construction of

infrastructure projects according to the latest city, state, federal engineering design standards and

construction policies. Responsibilities consisted of drafting, scheduling, budgeting, design reports,

inspections and overall organization of supporting project documentation.

Districtwide Plan Review Contract, FDOT District 4, Broward County, Florida

• Performed civil infrastructure plan reviews which consist of analyzing constructability and

biddability design plans throughout District Four Counties.

• Field reviews were performed on project sites and design plans were examined, inspected

for errors, checked for omissions and inconsistencies. Recommendations were provided

through technical direction and design improvements consistent with the latest standards

of state and federal construction policies.

• Plan components set such as roadway, cross sections, drainage, signing & pavement

markings, pavement design, traffic control plans and reviewed for overall project

consistency. Critical pay items quantities were verified through quantity comparisons

between project plans and computation book reducing inaccuracy in overall project cost.

• Completed over 100 plan review task orders under this contract.

FDOT District 4, Miami-Dade and Broward County, Florida

• Extensive resident and utility coordination in assessing cost effectiveness which resulted in

the reduction of project scope and cost based on the traffic and environmental impact

concerns to the community and local residents.

• Prepared pavement design reports which compared budgeted costs to actual costs and

recommended construction modification to ensure project remained under estimated

budget.

• Assisted with the overall administration duties and preparation of plan documents such as

project plan set, permits, correspondents, and overall project quantities and cost.
