In my tenure here I have restructured the organization by

establishing liner production flows and line balancing. The net

resulted in $40,000 of savings annually. By utilizing six sigma

and ISO procedures I have enhanced the quality control process and

reduced customer returns from 5% to less than a %. I Increased

production from 200,000 pounds of resin output to 550,000 pounds

of output resulting in the reduction of customer lead times from

11 days to 5 days. I introduced a maintenance pm system to reduce

machine downtime. Renegotiated LTL and bulk truck deliveries for a

$30,000 savings.

Accomplishments:

As the lead Six Sigma black belt I directed 7 certified black

belts and maintained my own projects simultaneously. I completed a

workers compensation project focused on reducing repetitive motion

injuries. The project reduced injuries by 80% creating a cost

savings of 250,000 dollars; in addition it reduced absenteeism

related to injuries by 95%. I reduced grievances from 500 plus

annually to fewer than 100 by establishing a solid working

relationship with the Union. Trust and integrity were key in the

reduction.
