1997)
. Total P & L responsibilities for door manufacturing assembly plant
consisting of roll forming, assembly, polyurethane foaming, machining,
painting, and pre-hanging of residential door systems.
. Direct Reports: Human Resource Manager, Plant Engineer, Production
Manager, Controller, Materials Manager, and Quality Manager.
. 190 employees (non-union); plant sales totaling $125M.
Accomplishments:
. Capacity responded to sales increase of $68M in 1994 to $125M in 1997
with same product mix.
. Reduced quality credits from 2.47% in 1994 to 0.91% in 1997.
. Reduced direct labor from 2.4% of sales to 1.7% of sales.
