conception on time which contributed to the battalion's ability to perform
it's assigned mission.
Placed strong emphasis on supply discipline which resulted in 100%
accountability of $9.5 million in equipment and vehicles during 22 months
of company command.
Stressed the importance of teamwork and a non-threatening work environment
that led the company to be publicly recognized by the unit commander for
having the highest level of morale in the battalion.
Held safety as the top priority of every mission and enforced safety
standards during all activities which led to a %100 accident free record.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Meticulously managed the maintenance program resulting in 98% maintenance
readiness for 22 months.
Successfully managed and controlled the execution of maintenance operations
over an area of more than 7000 square kilometers which greatly contributed
to the success of the battalion.
Led and supervised 113 Soldiers in the maintenance platoon in the daily
execution of the battalion maintenance program ensuring seven companies
where able to complete their missions.
Returned more than 5,000 lines of inventory to the supply system saving the
Army $10 million.
Prepared over 60% of the battalion's equipment for turn ensuring the unit
was prepared to deploy to Iraq.
LOGISTICS
Effectively planned, coordinated, and executed the timely logistical
sustainment of an engineer battalion by providing maintenance, food
preparation, fuel, and supplies allowing 22 missions to succeed as
scheduled.
As the forward logistics element commander, was responsible for safe water
production and storage, maintaining two weeks supply of food and daily food
production while practicing first-in first-out procedures. Also oversaw the
operation of a 40k gallon bulk fuel storage and fueling operation which
supplied fuel to the forward opperating base and all rotory aircraft in the
vicinity.
Planned and executed the logistical sustainment of 3 battalion training
evolutions and 19 engineering projects which prepared the battaion for its
future mission.
Selected over senior peers to operate as the forward logistics commander to
provide sustainment to a forward operating base positioned 60 kilometers
away which allowed the company to successfully sustain multiple locations
within a 700 square kilometer area.
Served as the primary maintenance adviser for a tank battalion commander
ensuring that he had a complete picture of maintenance status, systemic
issues and planned preventive maintenance.
TRAINING AND TEAM BUILDING
Built and developed several logistics teams ranging in size from four to
115 members.
Planned and executed 2 training events which resulted in the forward
support company being fully capable of completing its assigned mission.
Planned, staffed, sourced and executed annual, quarterly and weekly
training for the forward support company ensuring the company was current
on all training and adminastrative requirments.
Supervised and mentored four commissioned officers, two warrant officers
and 88 Soldiers as the company commander and facilitated their full
integration into the team.
Presented numorious classes on a wide variety of topics to include suicide
awareness and prevention, weapon systems and their implementation, personal
and area safety, and proper maintenance documentation.
