IT Manager.

As a member of a young department the first goal becomes the

creation of a team, capable to deliver the highest IT quality

experience while working with customers and internal

departments. Creating procedures to handle a fast growing

infrastructure for MSC (USA), Interlink Technologies and to

provide support and services to a worldwide group of customers.

Main projects implemented:

Lead the migration of Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010

distributed among 5 different datacenters, offering a High

available scenario with 1 DAG and a total of 3000 users.

Microsoft Lync Server 2010 (we started with LCS2005, migrating

all the way to the latest version available).

Participation on several Microsoft Technology Adoption Programs

TAP, for exchange, windows 2008, OCS, Hyper-V, Terminal Servers

and others.

Adapted the network to a more modern layout, implementing a DMZ

and Management network on both more important computers room of

the company, using Microsoft ISA 2004, which later on was

updated to ISA2006 and finally to Microsoft TMG server.

Unification and implementation of a central management

infrastructure to provide services to more than 2400 users

distributed among 15 offices.

Redesign of the main and secondary data centers to replace old

Dell and HP networking technology for top of the line Cisco

switches, providing a more robust and stable network

environment that served as the foundation for our High

Availability project.

Started the first virtualization project of the company, with a

cluster of 4 Windows 2008 R2 core servers and Hyper-V

technology. Virtualizing a total of 95 servers. Showing the

capabilities of new technologies to reduce budget while

increasing the level of service available for the company.

Lead the analysis, planning, design and execution of a new

datacenter in South Carolina with over 400 servers to replace

the old and expensive to maintain New York datacenter. We were

able to reduce drastically the operation cost of our secondary

datacenter, while setting the base that allows us to reach a

99.9% uptime on our business critical systems.

Manage the implementation of the first Sharepoint environment

to replace primary the existing huge public folders environment

and the obsolete file system. Currently the environment is

providing the business with more than 2 TB of information on a

modern and secure interface.

Migrated our EMC Clarion array to a Dell Compellent unit with a

total of 90TB raw capacity. Plus 6 Equalogic units with a

capacity of 10TB each.

MSC (USA) Inc. (The second largest container vessel company in

the world), Manhattan, NY 8/2003 to 11/2005.

Network Administrator, project leader.

Level 3 support engineering on the Windows Network

administration team, which included: solve of AD problems,

replacemement of servers and re-configuration of existing ones.

Analysis and test of new software, etc.

Main projects implemented while acting as L3 support:

Migration of the entire WAN (main LAN in New York with 20 LANs

around the country) from a Win 2k platform to Win 2003 platform

and desktops from Win 2K to Win XP. That included the creation

of a new forest and domains and the migration of the entire AD

database and security permission.

Migration from exchange 5.5 server to several exchange 2003

servers.

Synchronization project to be able to handle the big share

files resources distribution among all the offices.

During the start up of the company, participated on the

installation and configuration of several LANs NT 4.0 with

Windows 95 desktops, NT Workstation and TCP/IP, conforming a

WAN with 17 LAN's. For which was configured DNS, DHCP and WINS.

Each network has a maximum of 95 terminals and a minimum of 25.

On each server was installed a Lotus Notes 4.6 server and on

each terminal the corresponding client. Also was installed on

each server, SQL 6.5 and some clients of SQL on different

terminals.

Installation of a Novell Network for load of Data and

Installation and Administration of a NT 4.0 Network with
