Crescent Construction – General Manager (Bridgeport, WV) 2006 - Present
• Execute daily operational tasks while managing a team of eight to ten employees on residential and
commercial construction projects ranging from $100,000 - $300,000.
• Design and implement work schedules to match employee skill sets to project priorities stating
individual employee objectives and expectations.
• Create biweekly payroll schedules and monitor employee performance via performance evaluations
to recommend when pay raises were appropriate.
• Execute payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable duties utilizing Intuit QuickBooks
accounting software as well as making all federal and state payroll tax payments timely. Perform all
such duties for Associated Specialists, detailed below, as well.
• Create reports comparing actual to budgeted revenues and expenses to determine profitability of
individual projects.
• Maintain and monitor direct communications with clients to ensure client expectations were met and
or exceeded.
• Consult potential clients regarding equipment needs and project estimates.
• Serve as Superintendent on a 20 million dollar construction project.
• Manage company rental properties by: executing lease agreements, ensuring timely receipt of rent
payments, keeping leased premises compliant with all relevant laws, regulations and ordinances; in
addition to, communicating with and resolving any and all lease issues.
• Helped resolved a conflict between a Union and Crescent Construction through mediation.
Associated Specialists – Accountant/General Manager (Bridgeport, WV) 2006 - Present
• Manage over 60 Employees on a daily basis for 5 private physician practices.
• Created an employee manual for the company outlining policy and procedure, keep it up to date, and
communicate updates to all relevant company personnel.
• Implemented a new time clock management system to better manage employee hours.
• Developed a successful recruiting process for the company.
• Approve/decline leave of absence and time off requests.
• Decide how the disciplinary process will be handled and relate all the entire process to the employees
in writing.
INTERNSHIP/PRACTICUM EXPEREINCE
• Selected in 2010 for a five month paid internship by the Fortune 100 Company Walt Disney World ®
Resort, where: completed “Exploring People Management” and Finance classes via Disney
University, trained to “Merchantain” Guests from around the world, worked alongside with finance
and merchandise managers, and provided guest service.
• Completed a Managerial Practicum through Fairmont State University where I worked in the field of
Human Resources.
