WORK HISTORY

2008-Present Self-Employed – Residential Remodeling

Performed demolition and all aspects of reconstruction and remodeling, (except those services requiring licenses) and worked closely with sub-contractors to ensure their work met the customer's

specifications and expectations. When job required, was responsible for landscaping and finishing work as needed to provide customer with move-in ready residence.

2007-2008 Production Coordinator, American Wire Products

Plant-wide supervisor. Responsible for all areas including maintenance, tool and die, production, quality, shipping and receiving and all safety related issues. Improved efficiency in all areas while improving overall plant 5S. 2005-2007 Welding Department Asst. Manager, Trim Masters

Started as Asst. manager in assembly production. Managing a group of up to 97 employees. My group met or exceeded production requirements, using the Toyota Production Kanban System (TPS). Managed the front seat assembly and adjuster line. Responsible for quality control, scrap, safety, first aid issues and filling out injury reports. We were awarded the J.D. Power #1 seat builders in the world 4 times. Manage the welding department which includes, the Red Rabbit System, Breakweld System, Group Leader Audits and currently manager of rear lines and sequence area and trim cover area. Working with customers, manifest system, Kanbans, truck schedules and supplementals. Responsible for the proper packaging, loading, part shortages, quality control while keeping safety top priority. Overseeing maintenance procedures, production log and downtime log. Schedule vacations and keep current and accurate records for employees attendance. This position required employee evaluations and disciplinary action up to suspension and suggested termination. Attention to detail a must.

1999-2004 Supervisor, Montaplast

Supervised third shift, lead supervisor for 18 months, managing up to 65 employees, maintaining production schedules and quality control while making safety a priority. Trained and placed all new employees for third shift. Responsible for keeping accurate attendance and vacation records. Distributed production schedules to meet customer demands. Responsible for emergency evacuations during inclement weather or in plant emergencies. Trained in blood-borne pathogens. My shift was able to exceed all previous production records while maintaining a quality product. 1990-1999 Team Leader, Ohi America

Started as production worker, after establishing a strong work ethic and meeting and exceeding production goals, within 4 months I was promoted to production team leader. As production team leader I trained employees and directed daily work assignments of personnel supporting five assembly lines, managing up to 40 employees. Maintained production in seat slide assembly, tig welders, compression welders, rivet machines, also maintaining quality and scrap records in the MPICS system and made bell and plot charts for all lines . Ensured that established plant goals for productivity, quality and safety were met or exceeded while motivating and encouraging employees for on-the-job performance. Participated in ISO training and activities to assist the plant in achieving QS9000 certification. Assisted in year-end inventory. Served as incoming quality inspector for all purchased parts, which included the use of all measuring devices, Rockwell Hardness, comparitor and calibration fixtures, while awaiting installation of production equipment from sister plant. Worked with customers at their facilities to address vendor or customer issues and help rectify. Generated ISR’s and coordinated vendor and 8 D responses, ensuring no interruptions to the production floor. Continuous training classes in algebra, geometry and metrology.

Responsible for the daily activities of a ten-man road crew of inmates. Executed all functions from control center, dormitory control, clothing house, yard and visitation. Assumed and carried out other assigned duties as required.

Duties included preparing legal documents. Responsible for scheduling routine maintenance for all DOL vehicles. Performed routine clerical functions and other functions as needed.

1980-1983 Forklift Driver, Union Underwear

I was responsible for loading and unloading trucks, keeping inventory and loading front line for production. Attention to detail was a must with this position. Safety always.
