As the owner of Buchanan Fabrication & Design, I am in charge of fabrication and repair of all types of industrial & residential projects, as well as purchasing, estimating, bidding, bookkeeping and day to day operations. I have had as many as 4 employees. I directly run onsite crews, do hands on work on site, attend progress meetings, set schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks, liaison between trades and other general contractors. I was a field mechanic/welder and have experience with O&K and Hitachi Ex 3500 and 5500 hydraulic mining shovels, P&H XPB4100 electric shovels, BE electric shovels as well as walking draglines. I am familiar with most all Caterpillar equipment, Robbins and IR blast drills, Haul pak, Terex, Euclid and Cat haul trucks. I am proficient in operating most types of equipment.
