Updating geographical maps (GIS) Transferring cable build updates onto Telco client geographical maps
using GIS system

pairs and feeders
• Ensuring end to end connectivity is maintained for fibre and copper
networks

Updating schematic plans (GIS) Transferring update information from geographical maps into
schematic plans used by designers and field technicians

Duties and responsibilities
Forecast areas in preparation for telecoms fundamental designs.
Conduct forecast studies to prepare the corresponding telephone demand, Forecast report of various study
areas for the local outside plant network.
Undertakes Fundamental planning of primary cables, manholes and conduits based on the demand forecast of
the given exchange areas.
Undertakes Engineering study, planning and design of the detail Primary Network and detailed Conduits plans
using Copper cable or Fiber Optic Cable (FOC).
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) of the detailed primary and secondary plans.
Coordinates with the Goverments and Private agencies, individual lot owners for the acquisition of the right of
way and work permits for the construction of the project.
Supervise and monitor the construction group to ensure that the design technical specifications, allocated
project, time frame and budget are complying with the company’s meeting standards, quality and safety.
Attend regular inter office meeting and conduct meeting within the construction group for update on the status of
the project.
Conduct punch listing and provisional acceptance with sub-contractor.
