DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Platoon Sergeant, 1SG/E-8, SFC/E-7 617TH Military Police Company
1SG in the Army National Guard currently deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, on Title 10 orders. Position held: Battle NCO for an Area Defense Operations
Center. Assists in the Command and Control of a Company size element. Coordinates and orchestrates the movement of multiple personnel and
vehicles on a Quick Reaction Force of roughly 60 personnel and three Entry Control Points of approximately 30 personnel. Intelligence and Counter
Intelligence gathering and dissemination. Aided in the improvement of mission planning, prepping, and execution. Was a point of contact and tracked
the repairs of equipment. Team Leader of four personnel and alternate Squad Leader. Numerous administrative tasks (i.e records keeping, personnel
tracking, equipment tracking, etc). Microsoft Office proficient. Creating, writing, publishing, and distribution of many documents. Ability to multi-
task and handle a high stress environment. Many aspects of this position are not open for disclosure.
Responsible for tracking all 180 soldiers in unit to ensure all training is complete and to standards. Responsible to ensure that each class has all
required training aids, to include a Training outline, Training aids, and Test pass/fail is completed. Leads military police platoons, sections, and large
detachments. Supervises and performs duties as Provost Sergeant and MP Operations NCO, prepares circulation or traffic control plans and

NGB-J3/DOMESTIC OPERATIONS
WATCH TEAM/ HUMAN RESOURCES NCO- Oct 05- Oct 06
Expedites actions generated from both state and federal agencies. Acts as liaison between the NGB JOC and Army Operation Center (AOC).
Operates equipment (i.e. computers, radios, phone systems, etc.) within the JOC to provide a continuous communications link for ARNG leadership.
Ensures security and classified container procedures are followed. Publishes administrative and operational reports required during each shift. Assists
WTC in updating automated directories to ensure they are current for all key leadership to include states and territories. Monitors current events and
emergencies (i.e. disasters, civil disturbances, etc.) requiring deployment of National Guard assets. Acts as liaison with other operation centers (state
and federal). Performs clerical and administrative duties in support of the Group. Assists in the preparation of administrative or procedural
instructions to staff for expediting work. Prepares correspondence such as letters of acknowledgement, general office policies, acceptance of
invitations, etc., and reviews outgoing correspondence for conformance with policies and instructions, format, grammar, and typographical accuracy.
Maintains the Group Supervisor calendar and schedules appointments. Sets up conferences and makes travel arrangements.
RSP (Recruitment Sustainment) NCO, Columbia,SC Sep 04- Oct 05
Instumental in creating our internal database in order for us to track every soldier in our training pipeline. When the duties of our job changed, he
refined our data base to meet our specific needs. Responsible for tracking soldiers assigned to his recruiting area. The area consisted of approximately
100 soldiers or more at any given time that was awaiting either BCT, AIT or both. Maintained training folders on each of his assigned soldiers. When
maintaining these folders, attention to detail was expected. Coordinate transportation to the MEPS when a soldier was scheduled to ship. Ensure that
every soldier assigned to him had in their possession all documents needed to ship to training. If the soldiers were missing any item, he would
coordinate at unit level to get these documents. Possessed excellent phone skills when dealing with the Readiness NCO's or any outside agency.
