• Pre Kindergarten Teacher FSA Viking Child Care HVCC Troy New York: I am a teacher in the Troy School District

Universal Pre k Program. I am responsible for following the Troy Pre K curriculum and standards to

assure students are ready for Kindergarten. Weekly I compose a newsletter and lesson plans. Monthly I

prepare anecdotal records. Twice a year I schedule parent teacher conferences and throughout the year I

oversee various student teacher, observers and student workers in my classroom (August 2013 Present)

• Toddler Teacher Viking Child Care Hudson Valley Community College Troy New York: I am a lead teacher in a

toddler classroom (ages 2 3). I am responsible for developing my own curriculum, creating individualized

lesson plans, and differentiating my instruction. Weekly I compose a newsletter for each of my parents. I

• Allison Staiman: I provided childcare for an 18 month old. I was responsible for supervising daily routines

billing, payment, and scheduling.

• Desk Staff Worker at Lock Haven University: I greeted guests coming into the building, troubleshooted situations,

worked closely with resident director and or campus police if there were any problems presented.

• Flying J: While working at the Flying J I displayed my people skills as a cashier. My duties were to exchange

monetary value, answer any questions, take phone calls, send fax messages, and always be kind and

Professional Experience

• Student Taught 3rd grade at Nippenose Valley Elementary School/Jersey Shore School District: While in this

classroom I taught students with varying needs. Based upon students needs I differentiated instruction and

had a small group reading program. I also participated in an afterschool program every Monday to review.

• Student Taught 1st grade abroad in Dublin, Ireland: While here I encountered differentiated instruction, a change in

culture, and curriculum. The students were broken into small groups based upon ability for their reading and

math time. The students also had a Gaelic lesson every day.

• APL Classroom Management Certified: Training on effective management strategies for teachers.

Activities

President of North Hall at Lock Haven University: My duties being elected president were to go to a

campus meeting weekly to meet with other presidents at the resident hall association. I then held a

weekly meeting in my hall for everyone to attend to learn about happenings in the hall and on

campus.

Camp Susque: I volunteered at a summer camp teaching children in grades K 6 different arts and

crafts.

Kent’s Fest: I volunteered at a festival for students with disabilities. The students played games, ate

food, watched puppet shows, danced, and took part in a talent show. I helped the students enjoy

themselves.
