Consulting Drilling/Mud Engineer - @ Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., LTD Yard -
in Shanghai, China.
Supervise daily design operations for new construction of Jack Up drilling rig. The primary
function of this job is supervision of designing/engineering of entire, on board drilling mud system
for new jack up rig w/75’ cantilever being built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., LTD for
Prospector Drilling Co. Daily responsibilities include review & critique of drawings & change
orders submitted by SWS shipbuilding engineers to ensure all parameters of owner’s construction
requirements & specifications are met. Rig is being built to meet all North Sea requirements &
standardizations.
Williams Companies - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC (2011 – 2012): Working as an On
Site Drilling Consultant/Engineer in North Dakota.
Wells here are drilled horizontally into the Bakken Shale with up to 10,000' laterals. Multi lateral
wells are sometimes drilled from the same location by skidding the rig up to 30'. Upper portions of
hole are drilled with water based fluids while curves and laterals are sometimes drilled with loose
emulsion oil mud. Second laterals are only drilled if sufficient lease hold acreage is available. I
supervised daily drilling operations as well as daily mud engineering operations.
Atlas Energy, Inc. - For Consolidated Production, Inc. (2010 -2011): Work as on site Drilling
consultant in SW Pennsylvania.
Wells were drilled into Marcellus shale with up to 4,000 ft laterals. There were always 3-4 wells
drilled on each pad with continuous anti collision monitoring required with each subsequent well
drilled after completing initial well on each location. Upper portion of hole was drilled with air as
the transportation medium & changing to mineral oil formulated oil based drilling fluid for the
drilling of the curve & lateral of each well. I supervised daily drilling operations as well as mud
operations for the lower portion of the holes.
Exxon/Mobile, Mansfield, LA - For Elliston Consultants, Inc. (2009 to 2010): As completion
foreman, oversaw daily hydraulic fracturing operations for Haynesville Shale Horizontal wells
that produce ~$12M in product / year. Also preformed all aspects of well-readiness preparation
such as TCP perforations, as well as Halliburton Frac Plugs & Wildcat Wireline perforation guns.
Wildcat also performed bond logs before each frac.
Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc., South Texas - For T & S Petroleum Consultants, Inc. (2008 to
2009): As Senior Drilling / Completions / Reservoir Engineer for South Texas & SE New Mexico
properties, provided leadership to 32 personnel working drilling and completion operations on
300,000+ acres of leasehold interest that produce ~$4M in product / year. Duties included
prognosis assimilation for drilling procedures, casing design, drilling mud programs, electric
wireline operations, and field personnel supervision.
Plains Exploration & Production Company, Houston, TX - For EPI Consultants, Inc. (2005 to
2008):
As Senior Work-over / Reservoir Engineer for South Texas Acquisitions, led staff of 22 that
reworked over 350 wells after acquisition from outside operating company. Introduced CO floods 2
in 3 fields. Authored all work over prognosis for drilling, tubular requirements and mud
engineering. Increased total production to $10M / year.
Petrohawk Energy, Tulsa, OK - For Plaster & Wald Consulting - (2004 - 2005)
Worked in Petrohawk's Tulsa office as a drilling engineer, responsible for drilling prognosis
including rig selection, prognosis generation, including mud, mud logging, and casing &
cementing, wire line, engaged in drilling primarily Cotton Valley wells in the area directly NE of
Shreveport, LA, supervising 25-35 personnel. All wells were vertical and usually drilled in 9-13
days. I usually looked after 3 different drilling rigs in the same general area and supervised daily
drilling operations Drilling cost usually ran from $950.000.00 to $1.4M.
XTO Production - For EPI Consultants - For EPI Consulting, Inc. - (2002 - 2004)
Worked as a well site consultant drilling Atoka wells in SE Oklahoma, supervising from 7 to 20
personnel, daily drilling, casing running, cementing, and mud engineering. Surface holes were
drilled with air and production hole was mudded up as conditions, (primarily water flows) dictated.
Drilled 9 wells during this interval of time all in SE OK w/overall drilling & completions cost at over
$2.3M.
Conoco / Phillips, Powder River Basin of Wyoming & Pearsall Shale Section of South Texas)
- For EPI Consultants (2001 to 2002): Oversaw staff of 18; handled engineering and well-site
drilling supervision/engineering of several drilling rigs. Drilled total of 13 wells with per-well
drilling/completions cost at over $3M. Responsibilities included daily drilling operations, reporting,
supervision of casing, cementing and mud operations
Striker Petroleum, LLC, Dallas, TX - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC (1999 to 2001): As
VP of E&P and Senior Petroleum/Reservoir Enginee r in Sooner Trend, Texas Panhandle & SE
Alabama producing Mississippi, Oswego, Morrow Shale, Selma Caulk, and Hunton formations,
directed team of 21; oversaw daily operations including drilling, completions, hydraulic fracturing,
mud and work-over engineering of over 185,000 acres of leasehold interest for both pumping oil
wells and flowing gas reserves. Alabama production was enhanced with miscible CO flooding 2
procedures. Project valued at $165M.
Transion Oil & Gas, SA, Politest, Romania - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC (1997 to
1999): As Senior Petroleum / Reservoir Engineer / Operations Manager, directed local operations
for flowing gas wells, pumping wells, and heavy oil wells (8-10 gravity), some of which required
steam injection into reservoir. Gas wells were in Poptrain Sandstone which had up to 14 various
layers & required heavy attention to sand control measures. Overall project value: $22M
Cedar Hill Operating, Gadsden, AL / Syracuse, NY - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC
(1996 to 1997): As Senior Drilling / Completions Engineer provided leadership to 18-person team
in Selma Chalk areas as well as Heavy Oil Production in Southern AL; led production of heavy oil
with high asphalt-based consistency in the Selma Caulk formation, including drilling, completions,
CO miscible flooding, and daily production operations; also supervised work on natural flowing

gas wells that required directional geo-steering into specified seismic targets. New York
operations were initially in Trenton/Black River Formations. Overall project value: $52M
Cherokee Drilling/Operating, Inc., Charleston, WV - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC
(1994 to 1996): As Senior Drilling / Completions/Operations Engineer provided leadership to 18-
person team in Marcellus Shale areas as well as Trenton/Black River Formations; led production
of heavy oil with high asphalt-based consistency, including drilling, completions, and daily
production operations; also supervised work on natural flowing gas wells that required directional
geo-steering into pre-specified/selected seismic targets Overall project value: $52M
Harrison & Sons Water Well Service, Chickasha, OK - For Harrison & Sons Enterprises, LLC
(1992 to present): Oversee drilling and completion of commercial & domestic water wells in
Central Oklahoma; scope includes well drilling with my own water well drilling rig as well as pump
and water systems instillation. My involvement in this endeavor is suspended when I am involved
in any consulting activity for any oil & gas customer. There are personnel working for the
company that can operate the business in my absence.
Bonanza Oil Co., Inc. (1989 to 1993) served as SR Petroleum/Operations Engineer for Bonanza
Oil Co. in SW Oklahoma Granite Wash production and West Texas Bromides enhanced by CO 2
miscible flooding. Wells were low volume stripper wells and production was high gravity asphalt
based crude oil. Supervised 6 employees & 5-15 contract laborers for Bonanza Oil. Overall
project value: $250K to $2.5M annually.
International Well Fluids, Inc. - Bethany, OK (1981 to 1989) I was a 1/3 owner of this company
and served as President & Sr. Drilling Mud Engineer . Areas of operations were Anadarko Basin,
Arkoma Basin, TX & OK Panhandle, SW Colorado, & Williston Basin. The company specialized
in all types of drilling as well as completion fluids including oil based muds as well as water based
synthetic muds designed for deep hot holes. Also included in company services was drill pipe
corrosion service.
N.L. Baroid Petroleum Services - Canadian, TX (1976 to 1981) I worked as a Sales/Mud
Engineer in the TX & OK Panhandles, SW KS, & Western OK (Anadarko Basin). As a mud
engineer I ran all types of muds designed by Baroid including oil based muds, polymer muds, and
synthetic muds designed for deep, hot holes and severe lost circulation. Hole depths ranged up
to 25,000 ft. in the SW Anadarko basin of OK.
B.J. Hughes, Inc. - Perryton, TX (1973 - 1976) I worked as a field (Job) Supervisor on various
Cementing & Hydraulic Frac jobs performed by the company in TX & OK Panhandle and SW
Kansas.
Diamond Shamrock Corp. - Dumas & Perryton TX (1968 to 1973) I initially worked as an engine
record man recording daily natural gas compressor engineering reports as a monthly submission
to corporate offices. Later was transferred to the natural gas compressor overhaul crew as a 2nd
class mechanic and later was "bumped" per union rules to a "Switcher"/"Pumper" and transferred
to the field in Perryton, TX. There after 7 months, I was promoted to Production Foreman
responsible for 7 Switcher/Pumpers and all contract labor required for down-hole well
maintenance.
