MAIN PROJECT:

Title: HEAD MOVEMENT BASED CONTROL OF A WHEEL CHAIR FOR PARALYSED PATIENTS

WITH DATA LOGGING AND EMERGENCY INTIMATION SYSTEM.

Description: This project is meant for the paralyzed patients who cannot

walk or move their hands. To help such people move on their own, this wheel

chair can move according to the movement of the head. The system consists

of a microcontroller, which is the heart of the system. The controller

reads the data from accelerometer and according to the program and the x,

y, z co-ordinate values, the system drives the wheels. This system will

have record of the patient's critical information like body temperature,

blood pressure, heart beat rate. This data is very important in emergency

cases, when the doctor needs the recent medical history of patient, he can

get it from this system. A temperature sensor, heart beat rate sensor and

blood pressure monitor are placed on the wheel chair. These sensors record

the values every 8 hours and store it. If any of these sensor values goes

beyond the threshold, then it rings an alarm which is also mounted on

wheelchair, it sends message through GSM to family members, doctor and also

an ambulance.
