• Designed and implemented the first www.thebigpopper.com website in 3 months working with CommerceV3
in 2006. Re-designed a new website in 2009 with American Eagle, adding expanded functionality, including:
o Ability for customers to upload gift lists, custom messages, and photographs or custom logos for tin labels.
o Videos both marketing the company and providing detailed explanations on how to create personalized labels,
how to upload large orders and enter corporate orders.
• Selected and worked with internet marketing firms to bring traffic to the website. Created and ran email campaigns.
• Maintained the Content Management System (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in the
website including customers buying records, products, prices, graphics, rules, promotions and virtually all activities
which made the site work.
• Hired, trained, scheduled and supervised store personnel. Created procedures for handling cash and credit cards and
end of the day cleaning. Documented popcorn recipes and detailed instructions on the production of popcorn.
Created a warm, friendly and entertaining in-store experience for the customer.

• As project manager, installed multiple software packages for a municipality. Developed and led user department
application testing of the software to ensure it met their needs.
• Designed a new order entry and order processing system based on detailed process flows for a fast growing school
fundraising company. As project manager for the client, selected a software vendor, specified the changes required,
monitored the development, tested against specifications and implemented the system. Interviewed and assisted
client in hiring staff for application support and the data center operations.

• Analyzed the existing environment with business leaders and recommended the purchase of 5 software
packages which were installed over a 3 year period. The packages included mortgage origination, mortgage
servicing, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Built a team of IT support staff for the enterprise applications and staffed and trained the data center operations
personnel. Purchased and installed equipment for the data center and user departments.

2013 PROFESSIONAL D EVELOP MENT . Preparing for PMP certification. Completed Coursera Gamification certificate
program (Wharton School of Business), a form of design involving creative processes to achieve accelerated
results; fun can motivate and change behavior! As VP of Membership at Star Speakers Society Toastmasters in
Boulder, led an 80% increase in membership in 6 months. Membership initiatives included an action contest,
vocal coach workshop and outside activity to build team camaraderie and to meet each individual’s goals.
PUBLIC SERVICE, AWARDS AND ORGANIZATIONS. Served two terms on the Emergency Telephone System (911) Board
in Oak Park, I L. T he board studied the existing 911 software, hardware and communication system, then
selected and implemented a new system with village staff. The implementation included hiring new staff,
changing the physical layout of the dispatch center and improving emergency response procedures and EMS
t raining.
Evaluated consolidation of the emergency dispatch center with neighboring towns, leading to the creation of the
West Suburban Consolidated Dispatch Center.
