Hobbies/Interests

I have an immense zeal for 3D art. I love both the creative and artistic element combined with

the technical aspect of using such powerful programs. I love the freedom it gives to create al-

most anything you can imagine. Recently I have been getting to grips with the power of Houdini

and the possibilities it provides for achieving incredible dynamics simulations and particle ef-

fects, which I have been enjoying tremedously.

I regularly attend life drawing classes. I take great pleasure in drawing and find it an enormous

benefit to me as an artist. I started editing videos when I was about age 14, mostly of my friends

and I skating. It was around this time I started making short lego animations, editing them and

adding sound FX. My interest in films and animation continued to grow from there. I am an

avid film viewer and love to be immersed in a good film. I started my DVD collection of films at

the same time I was getting interested in video editing, since then my collection has continued

to expand enormously. My favourite films include Pulp Fiction,The Matrix and the entire Pixar

collection. My aim is to watch all 500 films in the Empire Magazines top films list, currently I am at

around the half way mark.

I have played the piano since the age of four and achieved Associated Board Grade 8 when I was

16. I also enjoy playing guitar and bass guitar. I am a big fan of extreme sports, I went bungee

jumping on my gap year in South Africa and I love snowboarding and go-karting.
