Dear Prospective Employer:

I am a very organized, detail-oriented accountant seeking to continue my career

within your organization. Enclosed is my resume for review at your convenience.

My most recent experience was working for a small landscaping and irrigation company

which also had a retail outlet. Previous to that, I was the Controller for a large title and

escrow company. I have extensive experience in the construction industry working with

homebuilders and subcontractors. I also possess experience in the gaming and

non-profit environments. My expertise lies in the area of financial accounting but I have

also successfully dealt with cost accounting, auditing and tax preparation.

In addition to my undergraduate degree in Accounting, I also possess a Masters Degree

in Business Administration. For three years, I taught undergraduate business courses

in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Tax, Marketing and Management.

Although not listed on my resume, I have two years experience in the healthcare

industry as Finance Director for Uvalde County Clinic from 1988 to 1990. This facility

was a non-profit organization providing medical services to the indigent and

low-income populations. The operation was funded through grants from the federal

government, the state of Texas and Uvalde County, as well as private donations.

In this position, I was responsible for all accounting functions (A/P, A/R, Payroll, etc.),

grant applications and management of grant funds, budget preparation and

variance analysis. I supervised two clerks - medical records and medical billing.

I believe myself to be a good manager and motivator of people as evidenced by my

supervisory experience and teaching capabilities. Although I can only briefly describe

my qualifications on paper, I would be happy to meet with you in person to discuss

my skills in greater detail.

Give me the opportunity to prove that I can be a valuable asset to your firm. Thank you

for your time and consideration and I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Lee G. Wallace
