Anchored the number-one rated 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 weekday evening newscasts. Developed, wrote and anchored long-format special

news programs, including Emmy award winning coverage of local live events. Served as station ambassador through active involvement

in community organizations, causes and events.

News Director, WUHQ Television (now WOTV). Battle Creek/Kalamazoo, Michigan 1981 – 1991

Created and directed a news and documentary operation that produced award winning half-hour and hour-long special news programs.

The Prime Time series of programs was recognized and honored with a Michigan Emmy nomination and other awards for exceptional

community service programming. Anchored weekly evening newscasts and was awarded often by the Associated Press for outstanding

reporting.

News Director, WKFR-FM and WKNR-AM Radio. Battle Creek, Michigan 1980 – 1981

Managed and expanded a daily news operation with staffed news bureaus in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. Wrote and anchored hourly

newscasts for both stations.

Responsible for reporting and anchoring hourly newscasts. Produced award winning documentary. Coordinated statewide Wolverine

Radio News Network. Hired after college internship.
