Project

Title: TOUCHPAD CONTROLLED SURVEILLANCE ROBOT.

Objective: This project proposes a reliable system that is capable of

controlling the robot directions through touch pad.

Project Description:

This project proposes a reliable system that is capable of

controlling the robot directions through touch pad. The robot has a

wireless camera which can rotate in 360 degrees. The captured video can

be transmitted and it can be seen in display. The microcontroller

continuously reads the status of the touches on touchpad, passes the data

to the RF transmitter and the transmitter transmits the data. At the

receiving end the data is received by the receiver attached to embedded

control system of the Robot. The microcontroller at the robot end decodes

the actions that are transmitted from the source and the robot moves

accordingly. A camera is also attached to the robot which is used for

surveillance. The embedded systems at the transmitting end and the

receiving end are built with ARM7 based microcontrollers. The Philips

ARM7 Microcontroller LPC2148 is used. The software for the proposed

embedded system is developed using KEIL micro vision IDE and the source

code is written in embedded C.
