BE academic project details 8th semester:
Carried out at CGPL, Dept. of Aerospace engineering Indian Institute of
Science Bengaluru-12, under Dr NKS RAJAN Principal Research Scientist.
Title: Signal conditioner for PIEZOTRONIC 111A22 Dynamic pressure
sensor.
A unit (equal to "ordinary" degree) used to measure the piston travel
(position) e.g. to adjust ignition. When the piston is at its highest
point, known as the top dead centre (TDC), the crankshaft angle (crank
angle) is at 0 crank angle degrees.
This circuit is used for measuring pressure vs. cranking angle in a
cylinder of an engine, which is useful in study of ignition angle in
engines.
Output of 111A22 sensor is 1mv/Psi which is gained using lm348 which is
also measured at TDC pickup controlling bilateral switch cd4066.
Components used: Lm324, 111A22, CD4013, CD4066.
Team size: 3
Duration: Jan 2012 to June 2012
Role: Circuit & Layout designs, implementation on PC board and conducting
experiment
Diploma 6th semester project details:
Title: Wireless intelligence for trains
Aim of this project is to design and develop an automated wireless
system which will help as below
1) Wirelessly detect material theft
2) Wireless helpline for railway passengers
3) Engine fail detection
4) Track breakage detection
Components used: 555 timers, CD4050.
