Projects:
Product Enrichment - Sales & Trading Application
o Developed an application for traders to enhance the current trade process, by allowing them to enrich the financial
products at ad hoc time before pricing (bidding) them. Designed a comfortable UI for the users with a reliable back end
application development involving a lot of multithreading, along with a systematic extraction of data by identifying and
enriching the mortgage products in the database. Used various Goldman Sachs Proprietary Technologies for this project.
Paxos Optimized: A Fault-Tolerant Approach
o Implemented a complete working consensus protocol which preserves the safety and liveness requirements advocated by
Leslie Lamport, and also overcomes the Ping-Pong effect suffered by the traditional algorithm by using a Distinguished
Proposer-Acceptor (DPA) model. This is a major enhancement to the Simple Paxos since the state machine design
requires a foolproof implementation that supports the model.
Efficient Multideployment and Multisnapshotting on Clouds
Introduced a series of design principles that optimizes Multideployment and Multisnapshotting patterns and describes
o
how the design can be integrated with IaaS infrastructures. Realized these principles by building a virtual file system that
leverages versioning based distributed storage services by implementing two significant features - Shadowing and
Cloning. The research paper on this project was selected and published by IJATER.
Android Application - College Event Management
Developed an application that provides access to all the events conducted at our college's festival, allowing students to
o
register, log in and enable/disable notifications for regular updates. An administrator would enroll the students, keep
track of all the participants, and also send notifi cations about their respective events.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Application
Developed an application which would determine the locations of various software companies in the country using
o
their geographical co-ordinates, and plot them on a map. Creation of shape files (.shp), attribute tables and
implementation of hotlinks were some of the important features of this project.
Online Library Management System
Developed an application (under a lot of supervision) that provides students with an online library. Students could
o
register, log in, access the database and borrow/return books from the database, providing an easy and reliable interface.
Received a certificate of completion from Infosys for this project.
