Highlights:
Strategic member of an executive team that helped to create from inception
the Construction Permanent Asset Resolution/Loss Mitigation unit within the
Capital Markets division of Wells Fargo Bank N. A.
Resolution of acquired/distressed CMG/RERC (Credit Management
Group/Construction) Bank portfolio; approximate 300 loans which have been
properly resolved or moved to appropriate divisions within the Bank for
servicing. This resolution was in conjunction with the downsizing of Asset
Resolution department and major transformation due to employee departures.
Managed a portfolio of approximate 100 in process construction loan
mortgages in which borrowers are in process of losing home due to builder
issues or general delinquency.
Analyze borrower financial statements; negotiating with borrower in order
to recommend workout solutions. Counsel borrowers to help avoid
foreclosure & severe delinquency by means of: repayment plans, loan
modifications, charge offs, short sales and movement through CP HAMP
process review.
Assess risk to Bank through a careful review of the loan file, title update
and loan document review. Restructuring supervised loans; recovering
charged off loans and monitoring of loans that have been placed in OREO for
re-sale.
Initiate foreclosure; monitor bankruptcy and render assistance both to in
house and outside retained attorneys regarding all legal action, including
assistance in legal document preparation; assisting with discovery and
review and attendance at mediations or depositions required by the Court
system.
Responsible to train and mentor/guide transferred team members through
Asset Resolution/Loss Mitigation procedures.
Restructure of a commercial loan portfolio loaded on incorrect platform to
a consumer loan platform to which loan could be serviced properly.
Authorized to sign for MERS and had Bank signing authority as Vice
President Loan Documentation.
