1} In Garware Wall Ropes Ltd.carried out expansion utilities e.g. selection and installation of Water Chiller of capacity 30 Ton and
60 TON, Cooling towrs, Air Compressor 600 cfm for new extrusion line.
2) In Cummins India carried out modification of Air Distribution System to save Compressor of 1000 cfm (running 50 % load) by
transferring load on other Compressor.
3} Escalation of EEC through effective maintenance in Cummins India Ltd.; selected LOKESH (HMC) critical m/c having OEE of
78% which we increased up to 83% against target of 85% by implementing 5S, revising preventive maintenance schedule for 15 days
and adding extra points in it including telescopic cover maintenance, screw conveyour cleaning, checking tool clamp force and its
maintenance.
Streamlined various operational procedures such as:
Initiated regular checking of Standby Equipment in Utility Dept. by runring it for an alternate week for
unexpected breakdown.
Implemented the concept of oilman to check FRL on Machines and Gearbox Oiling for critical machines thereby drastically reducing
the puematic problems.
Initiating the replacement of Coolant Filters periodically on weekly off for Botleneck Machines thereby reducing the down time of
machine due to filterchock alarm and nonavailabilty of filters.
Successfully enhanced the uptime / decreased downtime of machines
:
In Cummins India WMW (Grinding Machine) reduced breakdown time from 10% to 1% by completing the task done in recorded time
of 15 days. Actions taken
Identifying 3 major route causes due to which the machine was having a breakdown; recognized the problem of the Electromagnetic
Clutches (getting stuck up) and replaced 2 of them with indigenously developed clutches due to which the Machines Feed became
smooth and started working smoothly.
Replaced the Worm and Wormshaft Gear for feed drive gear box.
Modified the Lubrication System for slides.
