CAREER SUMMARY
Investigating/developing ultra-high efficient metal halide discharge lamps, operated by
microwave power supply. Preparing release packages, BOMs, SOPs.
Was into groundbreaking development activities of discharge-based extreme ultraviolet (EUV)
radiation source that had been realized necessary for next generation lithography (NGL).
Investigated for the development of laser driven light sources, using CW and/or pulse laser.
Developed high-quality and efficient radiation sources for lithographic applications,
semiconductor processing, special lighting and projector utilization.
Developed/applied magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
models either in vendor-supplied platform or in own architecture for light/radiation/plasma
sources investigations.
Did collaborative study for developing optimized pulse power source that would supply high
current (~50kA) over a short instant (~100 ns). Such a source was realized to give better
performance in producing EUV radiation and may find importance in biomedical applications.
Tried, in shallow depth, electrical circuit simulation using ATP (Alternative Transients Program),
Pspices and Psim (load-flow analysis using Matlab).
Studied means and possibilities for reducing hazardous SF6 gas in power circuit breakers and
gas insulated switchgears
Studied different gaseous plasmas for applications in power systems as well as into materials
processing
Experiences of using packages: Ansys FLUENT, COMSOL, CFX (for CFD, MHD and th ermal
analyses); ASAP (ray-tracing for optical design); Z*BME (for Z-pinch plasma simulations for
EUV sources); JMP for statistical analysis; AutoCAD and Gambit for drawing and meshing.
