Overview

I am an electrical estimator with over 15 years’ experience in estimating working on major projects, with both

consultancies and contractors, in the office as well as on site, using various estimating packages. I also have

experience in mechanical and civil estimating.

I have been involved with projects all over the world including Europe, Canada, USA and South Africa as well

as Asia and the Middle East. Disciplines include commercial, industrial and domestic, rail, clean and dirty

water treatment plants including desalination units, nuclear power plants, mining, gas, petrol and chemical

plants

My experience of electrical work has also included installation work and testing and commissioning on

commercial and industrial units, fault finding on various machinery and installations as well as project

management.

I moved to Australia in May on a 457 skilled visa, but due to the company financial problems, having to sell

its construction department, I was made redundant on the 14 th December 2012. I am now in the Philippines,

where my Filipino partner runs a small business. To keep busy, I installing and repairing equipment in our

business and helping in training young Filipinos in electrical repairs, health and safety and risk management,

and have a two hour programme on the local radio each week, but am available for work anywhere in the

world.

Having lived and worked in different country has taught me to understand better different cultures and

different way of life and helped me see how there are many solutions to different problems and given me a

“can do” attitude.

The last few years I have been heavily involved with Rail but am very capable of working on various different

types of projects and am very keen on learning new methods and disciplines.
