Hired to contribute to research and written publications with Dr. Joe

Wilmoth in the Department of Human Sciences. Main responsibilities included

the data entry and analysis of a state-wide assessment of sex education in

Mississippi Boys and Girls Clubs. Other responsibilities included:

literature reviews, writing and editing manuscripts for publication,

assisting with peer reviews of journal articles, as well as various

administrative tasks.

Graduate Research Assistant

National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (nSPARC),

Hired to assist with research regarding transportation for the elderly in

rural, nonmetropolitan, and urban environments under the guidance of Dr.

Carolyn Adams-Price. Responsibilities included: implementation of various

research investigations to be used for grant proposals, the creation of

Hired to conduct research regarding the Turning the Tide on Poverty project

under the direction of Dr. Sheri Lokken-Worthy in the Department of Human

Sciences. Responsibilities included: conduction of various research to be

used for grant proposals, conduction of pre-project Key Informant

interviews, interview transcription, and the qualitative analysis of

interviews. Data entry and the scoring and proctoring of exams were also

common tasks.

Advanced Social Psychology Lab

Mississippi State University, Starkville, Mississippi, Fall 2011-present

Responsible for guiding psychological research focusing on the impact of

social influence on interpersonal relationships and attitude change with

Dr. H. Colleen Sinclair. Other primary responsibilities include:

supervision of undergraduate research assistants within this lab,

debriefing of participants, SPSS data entry, transcription, and the coding

of stalking behaviors in the media and judicial court cases.

. Perceptions of Interracial Relationships: Project Leader

. An experimental survey that I designed to investigate how

interracial relationship success and failure are perceived (as

compared to same-race relationship outcomes). This became a

prelude to my thesis.

. Study examining the impact of social network influence on

relationship formation.

. Study examining the effects of majority and extreme opinions on

conformity and attitude change in the context of political

discussions.

Ozark Guidance Center, Springdale, Arkansas, July 2010-July 2011

Responsible for the supervision of up to 30 seriously emotionally disturbed

residents as well as coordinating with other floor staff throughout each

shift to implement activities and psycho-educational groups for residents.

As an MHPP, I acted as a role model for residents and responded in a calm

and therapeutic manner to children displaying emotional behavior. TACT

training was required for this position and confidentiality was essential.

Sports Psychology Intern

Through this internship, I was trained in sports psychology consulting

strategies with specific regard to endurance athletes. Trained in personal

business management. Assisted in the advertisement of company events and

created various online venues for future promotional activities. Created a

mental training program to be used for a collegiate soccer team.
