Worked with Dr. Guy Reed, Chairman- Cardiology Section, on mice
atherosclerosis models to determine the effect of platelet
secretory defects on the development of atherosclerosis in
mice.
I was involved in mice aorta micro-dissection, performing
cholesterol assays and aortic photography for presentation
and analysis of data. Abstract for presentation submitted
to 21st Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis
and Hemostasis.
2006-2007 Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia
Study Coordinator for the Tachy Induction Study; PI: Dr.
Robert Sorrentino, Arrhytmia Services Director and
Electrophysiology, Industry Sponsored Trial. I was
involved in obtaining IRB approval, subject recruitment,
data collection and organization. The study was approved by
an IRB (CRRI) and we enrolled patients towards the study.
It is now closed.

Worked with Dr. Anil Bamezai in Cell Biology/Immunology.
Searched for novel T-cell costimulatory molecules. I
became familiar with Western Blotting, cell proliferation
assays, FACS, preparation of hybridomas, and preparation of
immortal cell lines.

NIH Summer Internship for toxicology research with Dr. Cham
Dallas. Studied the effect of Volatile Organic Halocarbons
on rats. I became familiar with use of gas chromatography
and the spectrophotometer.
