Responsibility : Working as a shift Engineer for maintenance of MBF equipments like MBP,

Blower, ID fan, FD fan, Cast house equipments, Hydraulic power pack units, PCM of 800 Tpd,

Thickener, RMHS.

6. Daily inspection of all the equipments and solve the problems

8. Regular monitoring all running equipment (Blower House ),ID, FD, Mudgun machine,

drilling machine, MBP,GCP, Top equipment, Utilities )

9. Attending PCM problem (Mould changing, alignment of chain)

10. Regular Monitoring of shell cooling system and stave cooling system.

11. Carrying out Preventive maintenance activities as per schedule (Drilling, Mudgun M/c)

12. Attending planned shutdown (Blowpipe, tuyere changing)

13. Attending problem as per operation department shift in-charge instructions.

14. Attending RMHS side problem like belt sway adjustment, discharge gate opening

problem, Vibrating screen, Feeder, Coke drier, Ore drier,Ore drying conveyor belt

15. Attending 80/25 crane problem like brake adjustment, auxiliary rope problem.

16. Housekeeping.

17. Maintenance of ladles (spout, tilting shaft, trunion sleeves)

18. Arranging and maintaining minimum spares required for shift activities.

19. Attending blower house problems like motor shifting, coupling and de-coupling of motors, OCS

tank oil filling, humidification line cleaning, etc.

20. Inspection of top equipment and changing of REBD gear box, gear box oil and REBD rollers if

required

Presently working in S.M.S. Utility mechanical maintenance DPT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To ensure proper working and operation of pumps, compressors, cooling towers

And monitoring all cooling system water parameters.

2. To ensure good and safe working condition to the operators.

3. To record the daily working of the systems and to report the HOD.

4. To obtain work permits and line clearances for carrying out maintenance work.

5. To hold charge of his respective area until handing over the charge of system, drawings, manuals, equipments

and tools to his reliever.

6. To carry out routine jobs in regular shifts pertaining to SMS utility department like pumping FO to boiler &

ladle area, pumping LDO to CCM.

7. Regular monitoring of slurry removal from EOF thickener and to ensure safe working and operation of the

equipment.

8. Regular monitoring of ARGON line pressure at the tank and user end and regular cleaning of evaporator with

spray water.

9. Ensure daily removal of scale from scale pit (A&B shifts).

10. Ensure daily backwash of all the pressure sand filters at SMS area and monitoring outlet water quality.

11. Monitoring the temperature of all cooling systems and take corrective actions wherever necessary and

maintain operating temperature of the system.

12. Ensure availability of the emergency water to be used during power cut offs.

13. Coordinating with boiler operators for efficient working and safe operation of boilers .
