Clinical Experience:
General Surgery:
- Great experience in both ambulatory (Day Case) and major general
surgeries, starting at hernial repairs and biopsies, through laparatomies
and neck surgeries to hepatectomies and oesophagectomies. Also, different
laparoscopic surgeries are practiced including bariatric surgery. Different
types of surgery were practiced as E.N.T. surgery, Plastic Surgery,
Orthopedic Surgery, Urosurgery including Renal Transplant Surgery.
Paediatric Surgery:
- Different anaesthetic techniques are practiced in neonates, infants
and children including anaesthesia for tracheo-esophageal fistula,
omphalocele, diaphragmatic hernia, etc.
- Good practice of different types of anaesthesia in neonates and
paediatrics including general and local anaesthesia, different types of
sedation.
Ophthalmic Surgery:
- I provided both general and regional anaesthesia for eye surgery in
children and elderly peoples.
Cardiac Surgery:
- I spent around one and half years providing anaesthesia for open and
closed heart surgery including valve replacement and coronary bypass
grafting either with cardiopulmonary bypass or off cardiopulmonary
bypass.
Interventional Radiology:
- I have an experience in anaesthesia for radioaplation of hepatomas,
also anaesthesia for MRI, Computerized Radiological scan.
Intensive Care Unit:
- At Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, I worked in ICU (A) with 18 beds
providing intensive care for surgical cases, respiratory failure,
neurosurgical, polytraumatised, multisystem organ failure cases, patients
after cardiac surgery as Resident and then as Assistant Lecturer of
Anesthesia and Intensive Care for about 18 months .
- Also I worked in intensive care for burn patients with 10 beds
capacity as Assistant Lecturer of Anesthesia and Intensive Care for about 3
months.
- I worked as a Lecturer of Anesthesia and Intensive Care in
intensive care unit (B) with 12 beds of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital
providing intensive care for surgical cases, respiratory failure,
neurosurgical, polytraumatised, multisystem organ failure cases for about 4
years.
Neurosurgery:
- Updated experience was gained at Ain Shams University Hospitals in
different anaesthetic regimens for craniotomies for adults and pediatrics,
cervical spine surgeries. Good experience in fiber-optic endotracheal
intubation.
Obstetric anesthesia:
- Epidural catheters for different stages of labor & cesarean section
are well trained.
