Supervised seven instructors and numerous students in the performance of academic and positional training for
surveillance technicians. Managed academic programs to ensure compliance with Air Force Instructions (AFIs)
and handbooks. Responsible for courseware development, changes in syllabi, lesson plans, and test criteria to
ensure the program met Air Combat Command (ACC) directives and objectives. Developed and produced
academic training schedule for academic sessions, lessons, and training device events. Provided instructor
certification training for military instructors and produced over 280 combat ready personnel to five war fighting air
control squadrons throughout the ACC.
Personnel Recovery Program Manager, Surveillance Data Monitor Instructor and Radar Analyst
NAS Key West, Florida
July 2004 – September 2008
Key player in Homeland Security operations and execution of National Security Objectives. Identified gaps in
regional radar surveillance coverage, performed a comprehensive analysis of radar network data and eliminated
blind spots resulting in 100% improvement in the tracking rate of all security operations flights in South America,
Central America, Mexico, Lesser Antilles and Greater Antilles region. Implemented an international computer chat
program that translated foreign languages to a common language allowed national and foreign radar locations to
communicate and coordinate activities in their native language. Trained and directed personnel recovery efforts.
The PR mission covered over 500 Department of Defense contractors, civilians and interagency personnel safe
travel to and from austere locations in USSOUTHCOM. Represented the Commander at PR conferences to ensure
the Southern Region was adhering to all procedures and checklists required for personnel accountability. Awarded
the Joint Service Commendation Medal for efforts as team member in the rescue and safe return of three
government contract employees from Colombia.
Executive to the Commander of Joint Task Force South for 12 Months. Maintained executive schedule; provided
protocol guidance, planned and coordinated tours and escorted high profile visitors.
Air Surveillance Technician, Data Systems Technician and Trainer
Eglin Air Force Base, Florida
February 2001 – June 2004
Combat mission ready Air Surveillance Technician, supervised and managed crew operations. Data Systems
Technician maintained the air picture and database. Analyzed errors, performed troubleshooting, and corrected
deficiencies on the spot. Training manager responsible for initial and upgrade training for 12 different crew
positions on the modular control system. Matched the right instructors to students to facilitate their quickest
upgrade course of action, resulting in over 120 personnel trained annually in primary and secondary job positions
and created a smooth transition to unit for new personnel. Emphasized training simulation exercises that mirrored
real world scenarios, taught crew coordination, supervision and management skills. Results were an unprecedented
six ASTs combat mission ready in the same period.
