Core Executive Qualifications-
Leading Change- As an organization, our ability to change was built around
a core set of rules,
policies and procedures. I was able to build a team that knew
what their role was to get to
the goal and they had the assistance of other team members to
achieve this. Thus, when
the business climate changed we could adapt as needed to stay on
track to the goal.
Also, team members, through clear and open communication were
given parameters to
make decisions which enabled the organization to adapt more
quickly.
Leading People- As a manager of 4 separate departments with four separate
goals formulated
by me, it was imperative that a spirit of cooperation was
instilled in all department heads.
I achieved this by having regular meetings designed to educate
each in the problems of
the other and how they could help each other achieve their
individual goals. I would some
times have to make rulings in unusual situations. This was done
swiftly, decisively and
always in the interest of the organization as a whole. Everyone
involved knew the out
come would be fair.
Results Driven- I have set goals and more importantly, waypoints to measure
the track to the
end result. When necessary, we changed course to stay on track to
the goal. Results were
measured by profitability, customer satisfaction, sales targets and
organizational efficiency.
Business Acumen- I have operated a business with limited capital. This
required careful
planning for employees, inventory and daily operational
requirements. Having the optimum
number of employees, cross trained and in the right positions not
only kept our personnel
expenses reasonable but helped maintain a strong C.S.I. as well. I
have negotiated a
collective bargaining agreement with the Local 259, U.A.W. Both
parties came away with
an agreement that was not only fair to the company and the
employees, but provided
incentives that led to increased productivity and higher customer
satisfaction.
Relationship Management- I have developed and maintained many professional
relationships
throughout my career. I have done this through my ability to be
empathetic to another's
needs and goals while not loosing sight of my own. My professional
relationships have
been successful because they have been built on trust, honesty and
my strict adherence
to honoring my commitments.
