As of today...
My current major is education with specialized fields of Spanish and Special education. I am very
determined to become an educator and also very excited. I recently decided to pursue this career to
follow in my father’s footsteps. Although photography is no longer my college major, I plan to
teach photography in the future, as well.
Achievements
D.D.G. Photography
I have successfully created my own mini business. I photograph all occasions, people and places.
●
Work with many artists to help one another.
FULLC
An organization, which I've been Vice President of, established in 2009 by a peer of mine. It stands
●
for Future United Latino Leaders of Change and is the first and only, to date, Latino organization on
the St. Phillips College campus. We promote leadership, voice and change! Participated in the well
know Fiesta event, Rib Cook Off.
Student Government (SGA)
The heart of a campus lies within the students and SGA makes sure of that. We've had events to
●
draw in our peers and also to make school fun! Give aways, batting cages and have even brought
musical acts to campus. In this organization, I am head chair of the POM committee. My main
objective to to oversee that things run smoothly and everyone has a part to play.
Professional Experience
January 2012 to Current
The UPS Store
Ft. Sam Houston, Tx
Sales Associate/Cashier
At The UPS Store I handle money and transactions. I also print, copy, fax and deal with emails. We
also scan pictures and documents to emails. I’ve created name badges, plaques and business cards. I
was taught how to sublimate and use Photoshop, Excel and Dr. Engave. I also dealt with custom
boxes and Quick Studies. Inventory, running a store and DRMO. We worked with Government
Liquidation, so I know a little bit of everything. Laminating, binding, dealing with mail boxes and of
course shipping. I give customers rates and shipping quotes, as well as shipping packages. We also
provide rates for the USPS, so I know both services.

San Antonio, Texas
Founder/Photographer
A photography company I established in 2008. I am currently the only photographer and do all my
own editing, promoting and printing. I have worked with different artists, such as models and make
up artists and have even done a few events. I know the opportunities are endless and hope to create
more than just pictures while involved with D.D.G. Photography.
July 2009 to
October 2009
Interim Health Care
San Antonio, Texas
Provider
With Interim I was a provider, which means I provided services for the clients. This job requires that
one cook, clean, assist with medication and clothing, shopping and transportation. I only worked for
a few months because right after my birthday I was in a horrible wreck and lost my car. Being
injured, I lost my client and when looked for another, they were too far in distance for me to try and
get to them with no transportation. I ended up quitting.
January 2008 to
April 2009
Claries Boutique
San Antonio, Texas
Assistant Manager
Claries are a huge jewelry and accessory store for both young women and adults. I purchased half
of my own wardrobe there. My job consisted of plan o grams, inventory, setting up towers and
posters, putting out merchandise, receiving and sending merchandise, Monday meetings, training
the associates, working the register, schedules and much more. Loved this job but it was work and
a lot of traveling.
November 2008 to
January 2008
AAFES
Fort Sam Houston, Texas
Cashier
This was only a seasonal position but very exciting. I began my first day of work on "Black Friday"
and it was super busy! I caught on very quickly and soon got moved to Lane 5, which was express
for soldiers only. AAFES is a company based on military bases and I worked in the main mall. I also
helped recover, collect baskets and ran floor merchandise.
August 2007 to
December 2007
Aramark
San Antonio, Texas
Cashier
I worked with Aramark in the Alamodome, Freeman Coliseum and what is now, the ATT Center.
My job was to cashier all main events. I worked the Alamo Bowl, football games, concerts and
shows. It was a really fun job for being one of my first and I met so many incredible employees who
helped me out. My boss was very demanding on my schedule and I was trying to attend college at
the time and also was just out of high school with no reliable transportation. She also never did
much when I had a customer complaint. Some of the games served beer and we'd get very
insubordinate customers.
Education and Training
St. Phillips College 2011
San Antonio, Texas
Spanish Education Foreign Languages
Attending St. Phillips College to get one step closer to my education
career. I will be transferring to A and M this coming spring and
intend to be done and graduating with a BA, within 2 and a half
years.
San Antonio College 2009

AA in Media
I began SAC awhile after highschool graduation but soon found out it wasn't what I had
believed it to be. I went in with the impression that my college years would come easy. I
started to become unfocused, uninterested and my grades were falling way behind. In
efforts to re incarnate my education, I transferred to St. Phillips College. They didn't have
the media program I had fallen in love with and I changed my major.
Highlands High School 2006
San Antonio, Texas, USA Basics
Diploma
Had very good grades and participated in many activities. I was in Golf, Student Class,
Photography, Yearbook, Journalism, Piano, Hispano Leaders and the Spirit Club! Definitely
loved all the organizations back than. It was easier to recruit friends and also a lot more fun
because of the participation.
Community Involvement
Observation hours
While taking a few education courses in community college, I came across the opportunity to observe
●
some classes. I took notes, asked questions and although I haven't worked with students directly,
really got a rare glimpse of the way a world functions when you're teaching a class. I loved it!
Presa Community Center
While volunteering at the center for the summer of 2010, I taught two classes to an older group of
●
individuals. I taught one English and one Spanish. Taught from the end of May 2010, to the end of
July 2010, and really got used to my students. Although I wasn't yet recognized as a teacher, they
really made me feel like one with all the information they had learned.
Avenida Guadalupe Association
I also volunteered with AGA during the same summer as the Presa Community Center and it was
●
equally just as great! Here I would help research and call locations for upcoming events for the city.
I wrote up proposals and even met clients to schedule a bigger meeting with my boss. It was such a
treat to get involved and see what happens behind the scenes.
