FFC Apprenticeship as "Chemical Plant Operator" from a renowned
April 2008 to Ammonia / Urea complex.
till date Currently I am working on Ammonia Plant (1100 MT/day)
facilitated with DCS (TDC-3000) system and PLC (Triconex) system.
Achievements I was awarded with "Merit Certificate" in PETROLEUM technology
from PBTE Lahore.
ACIDIC GAS PURIFICATION SECTION
AMINE SECTION:
CO2 is absorbed into activated METHYLE DI ETHANOL AMINE solution
containing, 45% MDEA, 05% Piperazine balanced with Water (DMW).
This section is removing about 32000 NMC Carbon dioxide gas per hour.
CO2 ABSORPTION COLOUMN:
Counter current absorption is in a packed tower containing 05 beds of CS rings
Unit has two FLASH VESSELS.
High Pressure Flash Drum: Absorbed inert gases (Hydrogen and Nitrogen) are
flashed out and recycled to absorber.
Low Pressure Flash Drum: Carbon dioxide flashed out and sent to urea section.
CARBON DIOXIDE STRIPPER:
Semi lean solution is regenerated into lean solution.
LOW PRESSURE STEAM BOILER:
To recover heat from Process gas while LP steam is used in process condensate
stripper.
MDEA REBOILER:
Recovering heat from PG and heat input to Carbon dioxide stripper.
MDEA PUMPS:
Heavy duty CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS.
METHANATION:
CO/CO2 converts into CH4 in presence of Ni Based catalyst
POSITIVE DISPLASEMENT COMPRESSOR:
Double acting double stage PD compressor which handles inert gases (N2 & H2)
from HP flash vessel. Total capacity is 1824NMC/HR.
COMPRESSION UNIT:
AIR COMPRESSOR:
Four Stages centrifugal compressor with horizontal (split) casing having capacity
of 40000 nmc/hr, taking suction from atmosphere to discharge 40 kg/cm2 pressure.
The compressor is driven by HS Turbine designed with induction and condensing
facility and absorbed power of 8.425 MW.
SYNTHESIS GAS COMPRESSOR:
Four Stages centrifugal compressor with vertical (split) casings having capacity
of 535000 nmc/hr taking suction from 26kg/ kg/cm2 delivered to Ammonia
Converter at 150 kg/cm2 pressure. Compressor is driven by KS turbine
designed with extraction and condensing facility and absorbed power of 13.98 MW.
AMMONIA GAS COMPRESSOR :
Two Stages centrifugal compressor with horizontal (split) casing having capacity
of 42000nmc/hr, taking suction from 2.0 kg/cm2 to discharge 17 kg/cm2 pressure.
The compressor is driven by HS Turbine designed with condensing facility
and absorbed power of 3.3 MW.
AMMONIA SYNTHESIS AND REFRIGERATION UNIT:
This section includes RADIAL FLOW type AMMONIA CONVERTER (S-200 Series)
with design pressure of 158 kg/cm2. Ammonia Production 1100 MeT/day.
From Synthesis loop 23500 Nmc/hr purges shifted to ARU &HRU.
Unit includes Refrigeration Loop Chillers, Compressor, Condensers & Accumulator.
AMMONIA RECOVERY UNIT :
This unit includes Absorbers and distillation Column with design pressure of
94 kg/cm2 recovering 30 MT/day of Ammonia from purge gas.
HYDROGEN RECOVERY UNIT (Cryogenic Process) :
This unit is designed by LINDE Germany recovering 14000 Nmc/hr
pure Hydrogen by Cryogenic Process.
This unit is designed at 94 kg/cm2, -187 C pressure and temperature.
TURN AROUND EXPERIENCE:
Experienced three turnarounds and many shutdowns with exposure of Compressors,
Turbines, Columns, Exchangers, Vessels.& Pumps.
