**** ******** ** ****-********** BSME program seeking a Mechanical Engineering position
specializing in food grade sanitary process piping.
Key skills and knowledge areas:
• Experienced installer of food grade sanitary process pipe, equipment and systems. Eight years of
experience in the food and beverage industry as a foreman/ pipe fitter/ sanitary welder.
• Solid command of technical programs used for providing engineering drawings and P&ID’s in both
AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Strong team collaboration skills. Work closely with team members to achieve engineering goals.
• Excellent personal skill that when dealing with customers both internal and external.
EDUCATION
University of Utah BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), 2007- 2012
EIT Exam Passed (Fundamentals of Engineering NCEES 2011)
Senior Design Project (2011- 2012): Wave Energy Technology Development
The purpose of this project was to develop a means of extracting a viable means of clean energy out the
natural motions created by ocean waves. We developed a buoyant mechanism that was able to trace the
elliptical path lines that were generated by the ocean wave motion. The energy that was extracted from
the wave by a mechanical means was then transferred to pneumatic pressure differential. A few of my
personal contributions are as follows:
• Created models and performed simulations using Solid Works.
• Developed a method of converting the energy from the mechanical domain to the pneumatic domain.
Core Competencies
Mechanical Design AutoCAD Drafting Sanity Welding/ Fabrication

Finite Element Analysis Matlab Excellent Communication
Ansys/ Abuques C++/ C /Arduino Fluent in Spanish
WORK EXPERIENCE
Alstom Transportations Mechanical Engineer, 2012 to Present
In this position I worked as the Mechanical Engineer that was in charge of the structural integrity of
Green Line streetcar project. This required that I write and designate repair procedures, working
instructions and AutoCAD shop drawing for the overhaul of the 30 year old streetcars. The design
drawings and calculations that I prepared were sent to a senior consultant engineer for review prior to
their approval. All my designs and calculations were done in accordance with the current American
Standards for workmanship on Rail Road vehicles as found in AAR and AWS, Association of American
Railroad and American Welding Society respectfully, standards. This position also required direct
communication with the customer over CDRLs (Contract Data Requirement List) where I would be
required to give a technical explanation about the approach that we would be implementing on a given
design.
Sanitary Process Piping Industry 2004-2012
I learned how to sanitary purge weld from my father who has worked in this industry for over 35 years.
Over my eight years of experience I have learned how sanitary process systems work and I have a solid
understanding of the installation side of the business which I would like to expand to the engineering
side.
