Regul

ation

Technology Used : Using PWM

Description: An AC voltage regulator for resistive loads using the PWM

technique and magnetic flux distribution. The load voltage can be

controlled using one switching element (MOSFET) and three limb

magnetic circuit. The proposed regulator depends on the PWM technique

and control the magnetic flux distribution in the magnetic circuit sections.

The suggested regulator gives smooth variation of the load voltage and

nearly sinusoidal current at the supply terminals with minimum harmonics.

The power factor at the supply terminals is nearly unity over the control

range of the load voltage. Equivalent circuit of the regulator is proposed.

The computed results are compared with those obtained experimentally

using a test model, where good agreement is achieved.

Major Project Title : PWM Based Motor Control Drive

: Academic project during B-Tech (8th SEM)

Customer

Duration : 4 Months

Team Size : 10

Role : functions & operations

Technology Used : using Micro Controller with Feedback

Description: The position control systems used in different

applications need to meet the high performance, accuracy and

reliability to achieve the desired output. Microcontrollers can be used as

suitable means for meeting these needs. The PMDC motor is a low cost

electrical device, which can be used for precise position control system.

In the present paper, a DC chopper, driven by a PWM signal has been

utilized for position control of a PMDC motor. Controlling the duty cycle

of the PWM signals has been implemented by microcontroller as

equivalent to controlling the motor terminal voltage, which in turn

adjusts directly the motor rotational movement. Experimental

characteristics have been reported which revels the satisfactory

performance of PMDC motor in position control system. The system

has good repeatability and the percentage deviation of position of motor

is within tolerable limit.

STRENGT HS :-

Strong determination to succeed.

Flexible and adapt quickly to new working environments.
