Project: TOTAL E&P Yemen is operating an onshore oil and gas field in

Yemen. The facilities are located on the East Shabwa permit about 600 km to

the East of Sana'a, capital of Yemen, in the Hadramaout province. Kharir

Power Plant Project: Total E&P Yemen works hard to decrease diesel

consumption for power generation in Kharir Field of Block 10. As a result,

this project is now basically engineered and will be developed soon for

implementation via the use of gas in a power plant built for power supply

in Kharir Field.

The project covers the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, pre-

commissioning, and commissioning as well as assistance to start-up and

performance test of a 40 MW power plant (expandable to 100 MW).

The power plant will utilize the gas associated with oil production in

Kharir field to produce electrical power for the industrial facilities and

operations within the field. It will include two dual-fuel turbine

generators, a fuel gas compressor, containerized substations, transformers,

utilities and control / safety systems.33 KV Overhead Transmission Line

Project at Kharir is the second phase of the KPP project with the objective

of transmitting the generated power to selected Well Pads and Facilities

containerized substations with associated step down transformer
