PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Project title: “Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid and

Sodium Chloride Using Organic Inhibitor”.

Description: An attempt has been made to study the effect of Sodium

Dodecylbenzenesulfonae (SDBS) as a corrosion inhibitor on

mild steel in hydrochloric acid (5%) and sodium chloride

(5%) using weight loss method.

Result was reveal that SDBS is a good inhibitor and showed

very good corrosion inhibition efficiency (IE). The IE found

to vary with concentration of inhibitor.
