Over twenty years of experience in the public and private sectors

have fostered a keen sensibility, wisdom and an invaluable asset in Design

and Construction Management. A strong determination, dedication and

perseverance characterize a proven record of accomplishment. Most projects

have commenced from pre-development through construction completion while

maintaining the client's objectives through excellence in design and

construction management. Duties on a wide variety of projects have included

formulating project needs and developing project scopes for clients in

commercial and residential markets while utilizing various technical

resources to develop conceptual estimates and schedules. The processing of

payments, change orders and applicable directives during a project has

exemplified strict adherence to construction standards. Maintaining

comprehensive project history files in addition to the execution of

letters, memos, and reports as required have demonstrated accurate

communications.

A command of the UBC and the State of Connecticut Building Code and

Regulations directly reflects their application over the years on design

and construction projects. Most recent projects required an expertise in

safety and clean environment work practices in occupied spaces within a

hospital setting at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in

West Haven and Newington, Connecticut. Project Manager and Superintendent's

responsibilities consist of and not limited to HVAC Renovations, Closeout

of Pharmacy IV/Modular, Electrical Deficiencies Upgrade, Fa ade

Improvement, General Construction for Renovation and New Construction and

Asbestos and Lead Abatement. Licenses for Lead and Asbestos Supervisor for

the State of Connecticut further delineate a willingness to develop

construction skills. Supervision and coordination among contractors have

demonstrated a keen knowledge of construction materials and methods. All

individual projects have had critical paths to achieve and have met

governmental expectations and goals. The many years of work between both

campuses have established a mutual respect and a reputation for

professionalism within the VAMC community.

The unique ability to manage a project with varying issues and

concerns without losing its primary objective and/or goals has revealed

great team leadership. On large and complex CM Design/Build Projects,

responsibilities include: supervising design and construction projects;

functioning as primary client liaison for high profile projects and in

addition to leading the consultant selection process; monitoring projects

to achieve bid, award, registration and construction phases; and overseeing

the progress of the project.

Primary work in the private sector entailed design management of

residential and mixed commercial/residential projects. Full architectural

administration included Site Assessment, Pre- development, Design Phase,

Bid and Award, Construction Administration, Construction Sign-offs and

obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy.
