PROFILE

A university graduate with several qualifcations in flm-making, graphic design, I.T. and media. Several years’

experience working in a variety of businesses, from retail to internet-based. Keen to develop further skills in

the feld of flm-making, in aspects of both production and distribution. while moving further into the

industry. In my free time I enjoy making my own short flms, as well as watching flms with my friends at

home, or at the cinema. I am a member at some of the smaller cinemas in london, because I enjoy watching

older flms there as well as new flms.

University of West London (BA Film: Video Production and Film Studies)

First Class Honours

I have just completed my fnal year at university and have achieved a frst class honours. I have covered a

broad range of modules from the frst year onwards, including; Contemporary Industry Practice,

Screenwriting and Post Production; Art and Technique. Along with the other modules that I have studied

these modules have helped further my organisational and time management skills, as well as giving me

experience in working with other people in different teams.

• Serving the public and helping with their enquiries. Operating the till, restocking shelves etc.

• Worked in different sections of the store, including the shoe department.

Searings Motorcycles 1988 Ltd, 2009-2011

Part time work

• Talking to the public and helping with their enquiries, answering the telephone and making bookings

for MOTs and servicing. Selling clothing, crash helmets and accessories.

• Ran the online ebay store for buying and selling goods, which involved cataloguing stock.

KEY SKILLS

• Gained good communication and teamwork skills, through both experience in the work place and

when working student flms, in a variety of roles, including; directing, producing and editing.

• Editing and producing flms in university and at home, have helped improve my ability to solve

problems, by way of having to get locations or edit to tight deadlines.

• Able to be fexible with time keeping and adapt to new situations quickly.

• Prepared to make hard decisions in given role to maintain priorities.

• Intermediate experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite CS5 Package.

• Intermediate experience working with the Final Cut Studio 7 Package.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• During Year 11 and Year 10 I had 100% attendance.

• I was a member of CHiPs (child line in partnership with schools) for years 10 and 11. This was to

combat bullying in schools.

• Helped build and design sets/props for local dramatic productions, as well as working as a backstage

assistant.

• Play in many local bands, as and when needed.

• I make my own short flms in my free time to enter into different competitions, (e.g.Virgin Media

Shorts)
