Professional Experience

Operations Superintendent:

. Managing ICE team to support offshore operations of Everest field.

. Managed operations through critical construction phase on erection of

Bridge Landing Platform for Flotel.

. Planned and executed pit stops and production outages for Everest.

. Involved in planning and scheduling for activities to be undertaken

during Flotel campaign.

. During the Flotel campaign managed to reduce the safety critical backlog

manhours from 16000 to 3000 manhours. Replaced 46 piping wraps by new

spools.

. Planning for a major shutdown of Everest platform of 50 days during the

winter period.

. Regularly updated and managed communication with Partners.

. Involved with HSE during their offshore inspection of Everest.

Brownfield Manager:

. Created a Brownfield projects delivery team and delivered the Brownfield

projects as C1 barge campaign (275 personnel capacity) safely and brought

a step change in Brownfield Project delivery (93% v/s 40% full project

completion at campaign end year on year). This has now been accepted as an

excellencein Brownfield projects delivery and has set the template of

campaign approach in delivering Brownfield projects.

. Successfully planned and executed a shutdown of Panna facilities

involving 400 personnel. The jobs involved Projects Tie-in, Maintenance of

SBM, Asset Integrity and HSSE related jobs.

. Managed Brownfield Operations projects of Multiphase meters, Barge

bumpers installation at PD and PE and Converting manual Upper Master

Valves to actuated ones at Panna Mukta fields.

. Successfully managed Panna Brownfield project: This project involves

installation of Crude Oil Surge Vessel without any platform outage,

extension of production header at PPA, installation of HIPPS at PPA and

Splitting the flow in PPA production header.

. Successfully managed Zero Flare project: This project involves installing

process compressor to recover LP flare gas and Dry Oil Tank vapors.

. Guided the asset as Asset Techincal Authority for Commissioning.

. Involved in BG projects as an Operations Interface Manager.

o HYDRA: This project involved installation of two (PK and SWP) minimum

facilities platform in Panna field. These platforms are instrumentated so

that the visit frequency to these platforms could be reduced to once in 3

months.

o Tapti Phase II Compression project: This project involves addition of one

more stage to exisiting two Process gas compressors and also addition of

one Process Gas Compressor module on TCPP platform.

o Gas Lift project: This involved installing gas lift facilities using

compressed gas from PPA on four satellite platforms.

o Water dumping project: This involves installing produced water processing

and facility to dump water in a well at satellite platforms PB and PC to

reduce the backpressure on flowing wells as well as reduce the production

header temperature at PPA.

. After Panna hot oil heater (HOH) incident, Installed a modular crane on

the platform, managed the demolition job of the old HOH, coordinated the

installation of new HOH and assisted the platform in the start-up of

platform in wet gas mode and later in normal mode.

. Panna Clamp-on project: In Panna field due to drilling of infill wells to

increase production we were running out of the well slots available in the

existing well head platforms. Existing well head platforms were

retrofitted to provide 'clamp-on' facilities with 3 slots in PB and 4

slots in PF to facilitate drilling new wells. This was achieved in a

record time of 4 months from concept to installation.

Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) at Tapti:

. Commissioning, Handing Over and Start-up of NRPOD project which comprised

of a Process platform (TCPP) and one satellite platform (MTA) in Tapti

field. Supervised the operations team offshore to commission all equipment

related to offshore processing facility. Hydrocarbon flow from the

facility was achieved ahead of targetted schedule.

. Developed subordinates and fresh joinees into a competent workforce and

building systems.

Offshore Installation Manager at Panna Mukta:

. As an OIM managed operations in Panna Mukta field during one of the

busiest times in BGEPIL history. EPOD (Commissioning and Start-up of PH

and PJ unmanned platforms) and PCE projects were executed during this

period. Zero LTI was achieved during the complete tenure as OIM inspite of

massive hook-up and construction jobs in offshore

. Panna Capacity Enhancement (PCE) project was executed during my tenure as

an OIM, it involved enhancing oil processing capacity of platform by 40%,

gas processing and compression capacity by 54% and water handling capacity

by 33.33%

. In 2007, 7 days Panna platform shutdown was taken for platform capacity

enhancement. This involved vessel internal modifications of six process

vessels, installation of additional process equipments and one Process Gas

Compressor module at PPA.

. Managed and trained a multi-disciplinary team comprising of nationals,

expatriates and contractors from different trades in offshore processes,

practices and safety systems.

. Successfully launched the first Behaviour Based Safety process in BGEPIL,

called SIMAP at Panna Mukta field

Construction Coordinator & OIM at Tapti:

. Tapti Temporary Compression Project involved installing decks and

assembling of two Process gas compressors, enhancing capacities of

existing facilities and installing additional processing equipment on a

live gas platform. This project was completed in 9 months

. Trained local hook-up and construction contractor in working the BG way

Assistant Manager at Panna Mukta field:

. Liquid Recovery project was undertaken on Panna platform and this

resulted in additional recovery of 2500 Bbls of condensate. This involved

debottlenecking of existing system, installation of new process equipments

and installation of blowdown system at PPA.

. Installation of local gas lift system at a satellite platform PB.

. Hookup and construction of flow arms and flow back of the new wells being

drilled by two rigs for two years.

. Installation of three clamp-on well slots on well head platform MA.

. Managed daily operations of the platform in addition to the ongoing

project activities.

Senior Production Engineer at Tapti field:

1. Involved with the Project Management team in commissioning of Tapti

Process Platform. It was the first gas processing installation in India in

the private sector. Responsible for Commissioning, Startup and Operation

of South Tapti Alpha unmanned platform. Involved in setting up a new

Operations and Maintenance System on the Tapti Process platform after

commissioning in 1997. The platform operated without any unplanned

shutdown for 6 years

2. Involved in successfully debottlenecking Tapti process platform and

operating plant at 200 MMSCFD of gas increase of 20% above the maximum

operating capacity of the platform.

3. Succesfully carried out troubleshooting of gas dehydration and

condensate processing problem at Tapti platform which had caused reduction

in gas processing capacity by 60 MMSCFD.

Production Engineer at Panna field:

4. Worked with the Operations team at Sagarlaxmi (an Early Production

System). The platform was involved in production of oil from a sour gas

field. The job involved:

1. Manpower planning, resource mobilization and supervision of daily plant

and wellhead activities relating to sour oil and gas handling.

2. Process parameter monitoring, troubleshooting and rectification of

process related problems as and when required and coordination with

wellhead team from the centralized control room.

3. Well testing, data collection, well behavior study, flow pattern study

and preparation of well property charts and their analysis.

4. Safety equipment maintenance, status reports preparation and conducting

mock safety drills in the capacity of a Safety officer.
