Accomplishments
• Family Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified June 6, 2013.
• Special Act/Special Service Team Award for successful implementation of Same Day
Appointments in the Sells Service Unit Sells Hospital, Outpatient Department.
• Special Act/Special Service Team Award for successfully increasing nurse visits
throughout the Sells Service Unit Tucson District increasing nurse visits more than
1000% and improving private insurance collections by almost $750,000.00.
• Initiated PDSA to streamline patients discharged from local area hospitals back into the
primary care setting to improve continuity of care and reduce hospital re-admissions.
• Initiated PDSA for incorporation of clinic based staff to more effectively facilitate
scheduling, completion, and follow up of medical referrals for patients to vendors outside
the Indian Health service system, improving continuity of care for these patient’s by more
than 50% to date.
• Sole Nurse Care Manager of the Purple Team, Sells Hospital Outpatient Department;
managing and preparing for the medical clinics of three primary providers, conducting
the nurse visit clinic, coordinating patient care, and completing administrative, customer
service, data collection/reporting for this team.
• Coordination of University of Phoenix Family Nurse Practitioner student’s participation
in the Sells Indian Hospital Women’s Health Fair 2013 allowing increased numbers of
female patients to receive Women’s Health examinations in a timely fashion.
• Successful ownership and operation of private business for more than 16 years preparing
specialized and legal documents for individual clients.
Leadership Attribute
• Care management of patients on both the Gold and Purple Teams at the Sells Hospital
Outpatient Department including patients crossing over from San Xavier, Santa Rosa, and
San Simon clinics.
• Assist with Charge Nurse Responsibilities in the Sells Hospital Outpatient Department.

• Support and encourage the staff of the Sells Outpatient Department to expand their
