Petro, Hoang Long Joint operating company.
FPSO Commissioning and Operations phase – EH&S & Security Superintendent Offshore Vietnam - rotational
contract position responsible for the training and safety of National crew and Expatriate Superintendents’.
Implementing the safety management systems and ensuring compliance with working guidelines during operations
and all deck activities.
Advise and assist the operations and maintenance staff in the safe management of the facility.
Encourage, support and promote all Company’s policies of continuous improvement in areas of the Environment,
Health and Safety (EH&S).
Mentor behaviour modification of all Operations personnel towards safe individual and teamwork habits through on-
going training and continuous safety awareness program.
Daily inspection of Operation sites to identify and control physical hazards and poor work practices, ensuring
compliance with and evaluation of contractors’ and crew on board vessel against EH&S policy and procedures
Supervising daily and weekly safety meeting with personnel including tool box talks
Processing all safety input and distributing data to Operations. Preparing safety topics for safety meetings distributing
safety alerts with all crew members.
Conduct vessel induction for all new arrivals ensuring all have an understanding of the Operations sites and job
hazards, their personal EH&S responsibilities, required behaviour and work practices.
Training of new and existing crew and personnel on emergency response and all other safety-critical systems
including fire systems, rescue equipment breathing apparatus.
Training and familiarization on boat transfer including Billy Pugh operations safe use and inspections both prior and
after use.
Conduct as per the weekly schedule hygiene inspections of accommodation, communal areas, kitchen, galley, mess
room, hospital, and work areas.
Supervision of helicopter operations, including helideck crew fire and rescue teams, ship to air communication, regular
inspections of fire fighting equipment as per regulatory requirements, conducting regular training and exercises to
confirm ability and knowledge of crews assigned to helideck operations.
Implement waste management policy as per the MARPOL treaty international and Vietnamese regulations
Conduct risk assessment for permit to work, ensuring regular audits on permits are conducted and permit conditions
and procedures are met and followed
Maintain and update all crew safety training records both mandatory and job specific.
Carrying out active monitoring and daily audits of the work site.
Keeping management informed through daily progress meetings and weekly reports.
Assessing company training requirements and implementing safety-training programme conducting all on board
training, also emergency response team training and weekly safety drills.

Carrying out active monitoring of all construction work on-board by Keppel work force of over 700 personnel.
Attending and inputting to daily pre shift briefings, and permit to work coordination planning meetings.
