Account Analyst
• Communicate with clients, LDCs/ and Sales Reps to serve as point of contact and project
accurate customer consumption patterns
• Utilize client databases to enter/retrieve nominations, customer usages and historical information.
• Continually review and maintain databases and tools in order to ensure that they are populated
with accurate and correct information.
• Research and resolve contract and customer service issues as requested by sales manager, verify
enrollment status, update customer contact information, deal confirm special conditions and assist
with customer billing issues.
• Data enter LDC/Utility deal ticket for each customer to include agreed upon terms and rates of
energy uses.
• Generate confirm/contract based on negotiated terms for customers detailing volume, price and
time span and submit for appropriate signatures.
• Analyze data to determine appropriate customer balancing/billing based on actual or estimated
utilization of energy. Resolve billing errors and obtain corrected invoices.
• Prepare and reconcile billing statements monthly based on actual vs. estimated usage. Adjust for
under or over- estimated utilization and submit adjusted invoice for payment. Working in a three
month cycle, reconcile a customer’s past, current and projected utility usage.
• Trade natural gas allocations between pools of customers monthly to ensure percentages set by
tariff parameters are met.
• Balance current and projected customer natural gas usage according to the regulations of each
tariff set by each LDC
• Continuously review and maintain databases to ensure they reflect accurate and current
information. Partner with sales representatives and other account analysts to add new customers
and remove terminating customers.
• Create operations procedures manual for each LDC
• Notify schedulers in corporate office the Nominations for each LDC. Send to LDC allocations for
each customer/pool to ensure accurate delivery of gas to the customer.
• Research and resolve contract and customer service issues.
• Analyze and research a variety of factors including weather, natural disasters and oil prices that
may impact/influence projected customer usage of natural gas. Include these factors in daily
nominations.
