July 2013 to Present; Project HSE Manager Archirodon Construction, Al Faw Grand Port Iraq
Design and build for the new Al Faw Grand Port Iraq. At present in the construction stage of the 8km break water wall.
Project will include land demining (UxO) and dredging.
January 12 to June 2013; Project HSE Manager ETA M&E Engineering, Dubai International Airport,
Concourse 3 Project.
Dubai International Airport, Concourse 3 is being constructed to accommodate the increase in the passenger influx
to Dubai especially designed for the A380 – AirBus. Currently there are 3 terminals in Dubai for various
International flights. The value of the project being done by ETA is worth 1.6 billion dirham for Installation, Testing
and Commissioning of MEP services for the entire concourse 3 with 10, 500 employees. It is a fast track project
with completion due in 12/12/12. A large number of International companies are working here, which increases the
skills and exposure to all associated with the project.
Responsibilities
Monitoring, Evaluating and continually improving the ETA M&E’s Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental
Management Systems in conjunction with client (DAEP), legal and main contractors HSE management system
requirement which includes Dubai Civil Aviation (DCA) Air side Safety regulations and ensure compliance with
OHSAS 18001 – 2007 and ISO 14001 -2004 by assessing and confirming site compliance through proactive /
reactive monitoring and through internal and external audits which includes below but not limiting to:
Liaison with Main Contractor, Consultant and Client HSE Professionals pertaining to HSE matters.
Developing, implementing and reviewing HSE objectives/programs, procedures, alerts, Project Specific HSE
Plan, Trainings and 3rd party competency trainings.
Promoting HSE culture at project site by demonstrating visible leadership through HSE Management.
Reviewing, statistically analyzing and interpreting the results of Proactive & Reactive monitoring and
establishing areas for improvement.
Mentoring site senior management in HSE leadership and staff members by identifying relevant training
needs.
Conducting Project Management Review meetings and conducting periodic reviews and monitoring of
decisions taken.
