maintenance mechanic, Mar 2011 – present

my job is to make sure the PCMC printing presses are running and to perform preventative

maintenance on them. the two PCMC presses we have are the Fusion and the NT

I maintain the operation of the ten pouch converting machines and have had to fabricate parts to

make certain types of pouches run more effectively

we have two laminators that I have to keep operational. I have had to change servo motors and

pneumatic valves

I have to work on the six slitters by changing bladders and segments. I have also fabricated a new

device for the operator to get the crushed cores off his machine and that saves him at least one

hour of down time every time he smashes one i am also in the process of fabricating a new style of

segment because the other style is not holding up very well and they cost quite a bit to replace

including the downtime

I also help our IT person by running all the cat5 cable usually overhead by using a man lift and

running through walls or the drop ceilings in the offices. I am also the one that does all the

splicing of the cables

rebuild tech, May 2005 – Jul 2010

my job was to work on the polytype printing presses by tearing them apart and replacing worn

parts. we replaced all the bearings gears bolts and valves it was a new machine when we finished

it. i had to insure the gear lash was correct and the mandrel timing was correct set the plate

registration using target plates and set the ink wells and roller train

I had to work on keeping the presses running on the floor if the maintenance techs were having

trouble getting them to run. I had two techs under me that i had to train how to work on the

machines and keep them running efficiently

I build room additions,decks, pole barns, and roofed houses. I ran all types of equipment skid

steers,track hoes and trenchers. we also done commercial build outs around the metro area and

out of state.

my job was to run the printing press i started in the reel room then progressed to setting ink and

running the folder. I ran the press for four years and then went into the maintenance side. where

we performed preventative maintenance on the presses but we still had to run the press every

sunday morning.
