Computer Numeric Control Work Experience:

● Inspect work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation,

using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.

● Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as

necessary.

● Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan

operational sequences.

● Position, adjust, and secure stock material or work pieces against stops, on arbors, or in chucks, fixtures,

or automatic feeding mechanisms, manually or using hoists.

● Select, install, and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides, and holding devices, using templates,

measuring instruments, and hand tools.

● Change worn machine accessories, such as cutting tools and brushes, using hand tools.

● Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines and notify supervisors when

major service is required.

● Start machines and turn hand wheels or valves to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms.

● Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or work pieces, or

adding coolant to machine reservoirs.

● Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or

excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.

● Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic

programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.

● Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement,

according to required machining sequences.

● Lift work pieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.

● Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.

● Fanuc and Siemens control experience.

● Lathe and Mill experience.

● Assembling parts as needed.

Education:

● U.S. Navy Electronics "A" School (57 weeks of electronic theory)

● High School Diploma received, Hartsville Senior High, Hartsville, S.C.

● Work Keys Test completed
