Duties- U ndertaking offshore QHSE and medical/trauma activities dependant on

major oil and gas client requirements either on seismic survey, geotechnical and

geophysical survey vessels incorporating AUV and drill ships in Australian and

i nternational waters. T his entailed the provision of all aspects of pre-hospital

medical and t rauma care as well as facilitating fi rst aid, basic life support, CPR and

automated defibrillator t raining, health topics, and basic suture t raining/refresher

for the vessel Master. In consultation with the vessel’s Master and Senior Officer’s,

devised emergency response drills and scenarios to test the on-board and supporting

shore based safety systems as well as the preparedness of the vessel crew. I n the

event of a medical incident I would liaise with the rescue coordination center in

Canberra to ensure the t imely casualty evacuation was instigated.

For the QHSE aspect of the position my duties included but not limited to,

facilitation and presenting project OHS inductions, conducting site/vessel

i nductions, incident and accident investigation, facilitating hazard identification

workshops and meetings, COSH assessments and reviews of chemicals and

hazardous substances that Fugro employees are in contact with, reinforcement

based safety observations, assisting with and development of JHA’s, internal

auditing, monitoring of employee’s and subcontractors to ensure compliance is

maintained in line with company policies and job work method
