Began career here as an intake nurse for one year and moved on to be the Quality Improvement
RN, working independently, with oversight, from the QI Manager at Shore Home Care.
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee infection control plan for Shore Home Care. I serve on the Infection Control
Committee at The Memorial Hospital at Easton. Monitor track and report, on a quarterly
basis, CAUTI, Wound Infections and CLBS Infections.
• Performing clinical pre-billing audits.
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting Occurrenceand Medication Event reports and
providing data to the Risk Manager at Shore Health System.
• Provide and assist with staff education.
• Assists the QI Manager in developing and coordinating our quality improvement program
in conjunction with the requirements of The Joint Commission, Medicare, Maryland
State requirements and Magnet.
• Performing focus audits as required.
• Responsible for monthly reporting and yearly reports on quality initiatives.
• Member of the UR Committee for both Hospice and Home Health.
• Review and prepare documentation for a Medicare ADR and, in the case of a denial,
prepare the redetermination request.
• General remedial help for clinicians.
• Member of HPAC: Hospice Professional Advisory Committee
• Member of the Falls Task Force Committee at University of Maryland Shore Medical
Center at Easton.
• June 2011: Presented a poster at the Maryland Patient Safety Center Falls Congress in
Columbia, MD.

physician. Responsible for daily running of office, RN- based procedures, travel advice and
