Academic Projects:
UG Mini Project: Analysis & Design of centralized library building
Project Description: In this project, a plan for a 3 storied centralized
library building was prepared, adhering to the provisions of NBC. The
core idea of the project was to increase the land usage efficiency. The
service loads were calculated based on the recommendations of IS 875 and
the structural analysis and concrete design was done using STAAD Pro. The
results were checked and suitably modified using manual analysis to
account the practical field constrains.
UG Main Project: Planning & Design of Shopping Mall.
Project Description: The main objective behind undertaking this project
was to get an in-depth understanding in designing the various structural
elements. In this project an extensive requirement analysis was carried
out in the planning phase. The position, dimension and orientation of
various amenities like theaters, car parking etc were judicially chosen,
taking account of the aesthetics and serviceability criterion to arrive
at the plan of the shopping mall. The economic spacing between the
various structural members like beams, columns etc were arrived using a
rigorous trial and error procedure. The building was finally designed
with the aid of STAAD Pro and the results were manually verified.
